24.01.2022 Our Year 11 Chinese students demonstrated resilience and flexibility during a temporary network outage by using a mobile phone to connect with the Birrong Boys HS Centre in Sydney

24.01.2022 There has been some confusion around absence letters sent home to parents. These letters detail both partial and full day absences, with partial absences indicating the time of arrival and/or departure in relation to the commencement and conclusion of class. Your child is in our duty of care from 8.30am to 10.30am every Saturday morning during school term. Please feel free to contact the Saturday School of Community Languages, Merewether HS Campus on Saturday mornings during school term between the hours of 8am and 12pm if your child is absent due to illness or is running late for class so that we can adjust our attendance records. Our telephone number is: 4962 3112.

23.01.2022 Our 'Sentral' online administration system is now fully in place across the Saturday School of Community languages. As such, letters have been sent through the mail today to students who have registered full day or part day absences since the beginning of this year. Just a reminder that Saturday School class starts at 8.30am sharp each Saturday morning during school terms. Please make sure that your child arrives at Saturday School before 8.30am so that they are ready to start their class on time. Students who arrive late must report to the office for a late slip and this will be registered as a part day absence against their attendance. Any absence requires an explanation from a parent or caregiver within 7 days either in writing (e.g. via email or written note) or verbally (e.g. in person or telephone call).

22.01.2022 Just a reminder to everyone that Saturday School commences tomorrow morning with classes starting at 8.30am sharp! See you all bright and early!

20.01.2022 IMPORTANT DATES - REMINDER: Today (24 June 2017) is the last day of attendance for Term 2 at Saturday School for all students. (Staff only will be in attendance at Saturday School next Saturday 1 July for a Professional Learning session.) The first day back in Term 3 for students is Saturday 22 July 2017.

17.01.2022 All Saturday School students have settled into the new school year well. Fortunately during the extreme heat we managed to find some air conditioned spaces for most of our students which made those mornings much more bearable! Today all students in years 7-10 received their Assessment and Reporting information booklet. Students need to make sure they read this booklet very carefully so that they are fully aware of the requirements of their course.

16.01.2022 Last week all students were given a green 'Confirmation of Continuing Student Enrolment in 2017' form. It is important that these forms are completed, signed and returned to the Saturday School as soon as possible so that we can determine our numbers for 2017.If you did not receive your green form please let our office know immediately.

11.01.2022 It was great to see so many parents/carers attending our Parent/Teacher interviews this morning! Thank you for showing an interest in your child's education! We encourage our parents/carers to connect with our school and engage with their child's language learning. If you would like to speak with your child's teacher please contact the Merewether HS Centre on 4962 3112 between the hours of 8.15am to 12.15pm on any Saturday morning during the school term to arrange an appointment.
