25.01.2022 SHARING IS CARING ###### Post by Dr Luka Biong. __________... Jieng Council of Elders (JCE): The self-proclaimed JCE admitted in their reaction to my interview with Jongkor affirmed that they emerged to protect the leadership of Dinka rather than that of the nation. This group does not at all represent the Dinka but they have instead victimized Dinka as they appointed themselves to purse their self-interests and not that of Dinka. They have emerged as a real new Jaaliayin of South Sudan as they have rejected federalism and inclusive government. Most of them produced Kokora (the division of Southern Sudan) as they recklessly mismanaged Southern Sudan after Addis Ababa Agreement in 1972. Apparently they have distaste to sacrifice as they failed to take part and even their children in the liberation movements. Some of them have not only enriched themselves in the massacre of Al-Dhieen where hundreds of Dinka and Southern Sudanese were killed but even some of them involved and enriched themselves in the dirty trade of alleged buying back of Dinka slaves from Arabs. Some of them did not want South Sudan to secede but they were even agents of Bashir to thwart the overwhelming determination of people of South Sudan to be independent. They have not only hijacked the sacrifices of young generation but have relegated South Sudan to indignation. They created 28 states and then 32 states to consolidate the dominance of Dinka. They will call some of as liars today but history will judge us for being on the right side and one day this group JCE will be brought to book for the mess that they have caused to our country. The problem of South Sudan is not SPLM but JCE and everyone knows that. The current generation of South Sudan is not the generation of the 1980s when some members of JCE wrongly victimized the leader of South Sudan Liberation Movement, Gen. Joseph Lagu. 21.01.2022 FECAA Easter Message 2020

20.01.2022 The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) is affecting all segments of society and is particularly detrimental to members of those social groups in the most vulnerable situations. For example, refugees, migrants, or displaced persons stand to suffer disproportionately both from the pandemic and its aftermath whether due to limited movement, fewer employment opportunities, increased xenophobia etc. In an effort to support the community, FECAA is calling on members of the community... who are able to volunteer their time so as to advance FECAAs vision of building a strong, united and progressive Equatoria Community. Volunteering is good as it can give you a sense of achievement and purpose; help you feel part of a community; help you feel better about yourself by improving your self-esteem and confidence; and help you share your skills, learn new skills and create a better work-life balance. Please talk to your respective State and Territory Coordinators and leaders if you want to volunteer. Alternatively check SEEK.COM.AU for any advertisements. See more

15.01.2022 01/05/2020. #press release from The Community of SantEgido. South Sudan, Concern about the new violence in Central Equatoria. The peace process must continue... The Community of SantEgidio expresses its concern about the growing violence in South Sudan and in particular in the Central Equatoria region. The recent armed clashes represent a violation of CoHA (2017) as well as the Rome Declaration (January 2020). SantEgidio calls on the actors in the peace process to exercise greater control over the forces on the ground, so that they comply with the agreements. It calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities, made even more necessary by the COVID-19 pandemic. The South Sudanese people have suffered far too much: stop the weapons on the ground and stop the suffering of the people. The Spirit of reconciliation has guided the negotiations in Rome and was expressed in the Easter greetings of the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, as in the SSOMA Response to UN Secretary General Call for Immediate Global Ceasefire. This Spirit represents a strong call for all to a concrete sense of responsibility. In the aftermath of the endorsement of the "Rome resolution" by the IGAD Council of Ministers on the 23rd April that marks an important step forward for the inclusion of the SSOMA representatives in the CTSAMVM mechanism, the Community of SantEgidio calls for an immediate implementation of the Rome Resolution. This, to date, represents a concrete hope for peace and reconciliation for the Country. The Community of SantEgidio reaffirms its commitment to facilitate the political dialogue between the parties for an inclusive and lasting peace for South Sudan. It expresses its confidence that a closer control of the forces on the territory can avoid in the future new violence and suffering of a people already too much affected. Rome, 1st May 2020

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Daniel Andrews and the Labour Party for this historic win. It is a great reminder that if you, like the Liberals, engage in the dirty politics of race and division, Victoria is not the place for you. Victoria is a great place to be where every culture is celebrated not vilified. Watch out, our voice will be heard again in the Federal Elections 2019.

06.01.2022 The Royal Commission into Mental Health is currently underway with community consultation sessions taking place right across Victoria. The Royal Commission wi...ll provide recommendations to the Victorian Government by October 2020. The Victorian Government has already committed to implementing every recommendation from the Royal Commission. One of my key take aways from the South Sudanese Debate into Dowry Practices last night was that although I shared widely the opportunity for the community to make a submission into the Australian Government Senate Inquiry into Dowry Abuse in Australia is has come to light that not one submission was made from the South Sudanese Community. Being one of the newest emerging communities in Australia I understand that there are many who are unaware how to best influence change and have their voices heard at the table. What this means is that given there were no submissions to the Senate Inquiry the new legislation has been passed without the community having a say. I dont want to see this happening again on matters that effect the African Australian and particularly the South Sudanese community. There has to be a coordinated approach by the community given the extent that the community are suffering with mental health issues. I am hoping to set up a small working group with those who have the skills, qualifications and expertise and a cross section of the community to develop a submission on behalf of the community. Im not partaking to be a voice at the table but I will be making sure that I empower the right people to make a submission so the communitys voice is heard and the opportunity isnt missed once again to influence action & change by the government. Mental Health is something that is having huge impact on each and everyone of you. If youre interested please inbox me. Individuals can also make a submission. There are sessions happening this week so please let me know ASAP. Please share or tag anyone who may be able to positively assist with this. You can find further information here: https://rcvmhs.vic.gov.au/

05.01.2022 Congratulations to all Graduates of 2018. You are a shining light to the community. As stated, superheroes are not known for what they have (Power and in your case Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates etc) but by the path they take. Let the path you take be the path of peace and development, not war and destruction. Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2019.

05.01.2022 ENVIRONMENTAL CRIME ALART IN GREATER EQUATORIA REGION SOUTH SUDAN. MAY 23,2020 We in the strongest of terms condemn the impunity being exhibited by top securit...y leadership of Moyo district against those standing to defend the defenseless Environment. We learnt of an incident that took place on Wednesday, 20/May/2020, in which our own activists Friends of Zoka, Journalists, Metu Sub- County leaders and Security, together with Moyo district Chairman Mr. Williams Anyama(Pictured below), who were detained briefly at a roadblock mounted by UPDF and LDU officers from Padiga village detach, commanded by later be identified intelligence officer of the detach. This incident followed an operation led by the district Chairman Anyama to an illegal cross border log collection point in Hweyo village Metu Sub-County, where the team discovered two separate collection point of 50 and 124 pieces of logs of the endangered Afzellia Africana tree and apprended two loggers who were forcefully set free by the Army at the Padiga village road block. By Thursday morning, Moyo Resident district Commissioner, Labeja Bob William, ordered Chairman Anyama, to hand over his official Vehicle before 8:00am, in an attempt to retard his good fight against illegal logging. On 30/April/2020 in a desparate bid to contain cross border logging authorities in Kangapo Sub- County, Yei River State of Kajo-Keji County in South Sudan, wrote to security leaders in Moyo district banning transit of logs through Moyo from the former, to the contrary in a letter dated 11/5/2020, RDC Lebeja cleared transit of a consignment of logs in a truck registration number UAT 795 G, which was later intercepted and impounded by Metu Sub County leaders, the truck is currently being held at Moyo Central Police station. We call upon the superiors of Moyo RDC to restarin or reprimand him in the interest of saving the local environment hence the livelihood of indegenous Madi people. 03.01.2022 EASTER MESSAGE 17 April 2019 The Federation of Equatoria Community Association in Australia (FECAA) wishes you all a happy Easter 2019. ... The resurrection of Christ Jesus gives life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what our individual or community circumstances are. May this Easter season be a new beginning of greater unity among us, harmony, prosperity, success and contentment. Easter speaks throughout the ages to the condition of human despair. Christian faith shows us the way in which we can share in Jesus victory over all that pushes us to despair. All of us need to aspire to the best that we know our human nature can be. Our community is being excluded from governance and is marginalised in political, economic and social fields. The government that is meant to be protecting our people is doing the opposite, as evident in the atrocities happening in Greater Equatoria Region, Upper Nile and other parts of South Sudan. One of the greatest benefits of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is to know that someday, despite the sufferings and anguish, we shall resurrect and live with Jesus forever in that glorious kingdom that awaits the believer. May all your prayers be fulfilled. We need nothing more than the awareness that Christs resurrection affirms that our struggles and labour in this life are not in vain. The resurrection is the triumphant and glorious victory for every believer. Easter reminds us that hope must never be lost for as dark as the road may seem, there always lies light at the end. In Australia, may the light of the risen Lord guide us to preserve in whatever is facing us here; keep us away from all the brutality we see in the world and pitfalls of evil. Our diversity in Australia is exceptional. Australia is home to the worlds oldest cultures, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Australia is also home to people who identify with more than 270 ancestries. May the light of the risen Lord resonate in our hearts and minds, enlighten, strengthen and guide us. We pray for peace in the world, especially in South Sudan. We should live as brothers and sisters; may building be preferred to destruction and life to death. Lets all welcomed the autumn together, rejoice in harmony, solidarity and friendship. Take inspiration from sharing, not only festive meals, but also new ideas that carry the spirit of Easter beyond this season. Our cultural heritage sustains wisdom and cultural cohesion that stretches across borders, making this the right time to recall the importance of our culture as a foundation of our society. May you be blessed with peace and happiness. Have a Blessed and Happy Easter Juma Piri Piri National President, Federation of Equatoria Community Association in Australia Inc

01.01.2022 Dear Equatorians, due to the tragic events occurring in Equatoria area of South Sudan and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our people, there are a lot of scammers going around using the tragedy of our people to raise funds claiming these are to support our people. Please dont listen to their noises, mainly echoed on WhatsApp forums and on Facebook. Only contribute to legitimate fundraising campaigns called for by elected Equatoria Community Leaders around the world and their respective associations.
