07.01.2022 SPF All Year Round -reduces premature signs of ageing and breakdown of collagen. -sun damage can occur on side of face and hands - even through the window of your car, when driving. -accelerated skin ageing causes fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.... -prevents discolouration and dark spots, maintaining even skin tone. -when it’s overcast, a high percent of sun rays can be absorbed by the skin. -prevents sunburn. -prevents skin cancer- If you have red hair, fair skin your chances of skin cancer are higher. -make it at least SPF30- SPF50, for best protection. -makeup and moisturiser do not prevent damage, add a SPF cream to your skin routine. -Water resistant, broad spectrum are important key factors when buying sunscreen. -lips are vulnerable too, look for lip balm that has SPF. -Make it part of your daily routine - all year round See more

06.01.2022 Breakouts/irritation from masks: Humidity, heat, friction and pressure from wearing a mask can cause breakouts and irritation. Your pores can become blocked under your mask. Hormones,Stress & Diet can also play a role in skin conditions. Here are some tips that may help you with skin problems: - Gently wash your face morning and night, don’t use harsh scrubs or cloths.... - Use oil free/light weight moisturiser. - A gentle masque once a week, will help to deep clean and nourish skin. - Limit the use of products, the more ingredients you put on your skin,the more chance irritation can develop under the mask. - Limit foundation ,so skin can breathe. Wearing makeup above the mask is preferred if need to. - Use a mask made of breathable fabric, like cotton or silk - where you can. Some masks are made of material that absorb oil and this may trigger your skin to overproduce oil and create breakouts. - If possible wash your mask after every use, the buildup of germs, makeup, sweat and oils can make skin irritation worse. - When washing mask, try to use a gentle detergent and wash in mesh bag to stop elastic sides being damaged. Make sure they are totally dry before applying to your face. - If using disposable masks, don’t reuse or wash these. - If skin becomes irritated or breakouts occur use spot treatment for this area only.
