20.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, I hope you’re all excited about todays Gala Day! Just a reminder that COVID-19 Guidelines will be enforced today. This includes social distancing, limiting spectators to ONE person per player, avoiding co-mingling and ‘get in - play - get out’ policy.... We will have a Covid Safe Marshall circulating the pool to ensure these guidelines are enforced. In accordance with NSW Health guidelines please do not attend this event if you have recently been at any of the identified venues as per the attached link, have cold and flu like symptoms or are awaiting COVID test results. https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates We appreciate all your support in ensuring this is a safe and enjoyable event for all players, spectators and staff. Hope you're all looking forward to another great weekend of waterpolo!

12.01.2022 Hi all, The draw for the Gala Competition 2020 has now been released. This can be viewed through the SSWPA website under Draws and Results or via this link: https://www.waterpolo.asn.au/tourn//&date=2020-12-19&d=all Please all check your emails as important information for tomorrows competition has been sent. If you are unsure of your team please get in contact with your club and they will be able to assist.... Here are some summary notes for the day: U12 - Begins at 11:00 am - Finals at 12.20 pm - 7 aside - 2 x 6-minute halves (2-minute half-time) U14 - Begins at 1.00 pm - Finals at 3:20 pm - 6-aside - 2 x 7-minute halves (2-minute half-time) Due to the number of teams, the U14s have been divided into Pool A and Pool B. In the rounds, teams will only verse those in their pool. The finals will then combine the pools to be 1v1 to determine 1st and 2nd and, 2v2 to determine 3rd and 4th. Opens - Begins at 4.00 pm - Finals at 5.20 pm - 6-aside - 2 x 7-minute halves (2-minute half-time) Each division will follow a 3 round-robin format and point scores will be calculated to determine teams for finals. It will be a fast-paced day will all the games running on 20-minute time slots so it’s really important that you are organised and know when/where you are playing to ensure you don’t miss anything. All games will be played in Pool 3 and 4 (Utility Pool). There is also an ‘exhibition game’ being played at 3.00 pm before the U14s final. This will include players from each division who will be selected on the day. Make sure you’re around to get amongst it! Please remember as always to respect the referees as the day would not be possible without them. I hope you’re all getting excited for what will be a great day.
