After what was a thrilling weekend of rugby union in the New England, finals places have been secured across all grades with our 2-day sem...i finals series this Saturday & Sunday. Thanks to Twenty Ninth Street Studio for this Finals preview! This Sunday the eyes of the New England and rugby fans from all over NSW will be fixed as our Finals Series heads to the beaches with the new and mighty Harbour Knights Rugby hosting our Minor Semi-Finals fixtures. In 1st grade we will see the Harbour Knights (finishing in 3rd place) challenges St Alberts Rugby Club as both teams will put everything on the line to claim their spot in the preliminary final. In our Women's Sevens clash we will see cross-town rivals Armidale Blues Rugby and Netball Club take on the Barbets Rugby 7's in what has been a highlight fixture of our rugby calendar this year. This grudge match is set to the match of the day as they both keep their finals dreams alive in this do-or-die clash. Our second grade fixture will see the Walcha Rugby Union Club (The Rams) facing off against the Barbarians R.U.F.C, with the Baa Baas hitting their straps in the later half of the year the boys from Alcatraz will be a forced to be reckoned with. Congratulations also goes to Walcha for successfully winning spots for all 3 of their men's teams in this years Finals Series. Third grade will see the Rams lining up against the Armidale Blues Rugby and Netball Club, with a mixture of youth and experience both teams will firing on all cylinders as their high altitude training pays off on the coast in this first game of the day.
