20.01.2022 ... a prayer ... For the layers of comfort and convenience that surrounded our lives and that we never considered a blessing but always just took for granted, forgive us. For we who must grieve in isolation and not in community, comfort us. For we who care for the sick, protect us.... For the ability to turn off the fear-mongering and unhelpful commentary and worst-case scenario click bait, strengthen us. For the times when we are all out of creative ideas for how to get through this with cooped up kids, inspire us. For we who are now cutting our own bangs at home, guide us. For the grace to allow ourselves and others to just be less productive, shower us. For the generosity needed from those of us who have more resources, empower us. From our own selfish inclinations, deliver us. For just being your children, none of whom have done a global pandemic before, love us. For the days ahead, accompany us. 12.01.2022 Dear All Good Peoples, Light in the Darkness - Time Out for a Suffering World Date: Monday, August 31st Time: 7pm... On the eve of Spring, an invitation from the Faith Communities of Victoria to be a light in the darkness. As the last light of the last day of winter fades, stand in your front garden and spend some time in silence, perhaps light a candle, to remember all those who have lost their lives to the Coronavirus or to violence. Share a thought for our front line healthcare workers who are risking their lives, and that of their families, to fight the virus outbreak. Then, as the first night of spring begins, look to the future with prayer and hope. Let us move from the cold and the dark into warmth and light together

03.01.2022 Holy God hear my intercessions, For those who are giving birth alone; for those who are grieving without their people; for the beleaguered parents ... who ran out of creative ideas two weeks ago; for those who don't know where this weeks grocery money will come from; for everyone who has watched the date of their wedding, or their graduation, or their birthday, or their dissertation defense, or their long hoped for vacation, or their family reunion, or the non-essential medical procedure they hoped would change their life, come and go; for the exhausted and the despairing, I ask that your comfort, your presence, and your peace be felt.
