16.01.2022 Our annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal is underway, and we are seeking gift donations for our local Footscray region branch. St Bernard’s has long supported this cause, where families donate gifts that will be handed out to those who need it at the annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas lunch, to be held in early December in a Covid Safe way. Simply drop off your gift at the Front Office no later than Wed 25th November, 3pm. We appreciate this year has been a challenging... one. St Vincent suggested up to $20 if you can. Please see a guide below for recommended age groups to assist you. Vinnie's has asked that if gifts are wrapped and write what the gift is/who it's for on the outside. 14.01.2022 Our 2020 Remembrance Day Ceremony. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. / At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them." ... Lest We Forget.

12.01.2022 As restrictions ease we may, like the nine lepers of today’s Listening Liturgy Gospel, be so overwhelmed by a desire to return to ‘normal life’ that we forget to give thanks. Today, let us be the one leper that recognises his blessing and turn back, reflecting on the daily gifts that are worthy of our gratitude. 11.01.2022 Great way to start the day with the work-shops buzzing!

06.01.2022 The word respect literally translates to ‘look again’. Our Gospel this Sunday reminds the disciples that he is found where they haven’t been looking in the homeless, rejected, outcast and outsiders. So, in the lead up to Christmas, we’re told to ‘look again’ for the birth of the Christ in our world. Christ could be anywhere, because Christ is everywhere.

06.01.2022 A massive THANK YOU! for the multitude of donations we've received for the St Vinnies Christmas Appeal - Each & Everyone one of these gift's makes a massive difference to someone's Christmas
