25.01.2022 This week is Catholic Education Week. The theme is ‘Listen to what the Spirit is saying.’ It is a time to celebrate all we do in our schools and who we are as a community. Whether we are at home or at school we are reminded that - ‘As learning communities who are part of the Christian mission we have the task to promote the full dignity and development of all people. We are dedicated to children learning at high levels within a culture that optimizes learning for all. We will use contemporary teaching practices in all areas academic, physical, spiritual, emotional and social as we pass on the beliefs and traditions of our Catholic faith in an environment of care, which reflects the values of the Gospel.’ (Bungaree Parish Schools Vision)

24.01.2022 If friends were like flowers I would pick St Brendans! Yesterday the students and staff visited the Sunflowers paddock of one of our families. This was a wonderful experience of selecting a flower, cutting it and then being able to take it home. It was such a beautiful sight of vibrant flowers and the mountain in the backdrop. Such an exciting sensory experience. Thank you to Laiken for this wonderful opportunity.

24.01.2022 The Senior Room teachers were thrilled to welcome back their class today. The children's Welcome Back packs kept them busy working out the puzzle.

15.01.2022 At St Brendan's we love working with our buddies. This is a wonderful way for our students to connect and build relationships using BRICKS. This is where we promote Respect, Inclusiveness, Courage and Kindness.

13.01.2022 Yesterday we received a very special gift from a very special person. These self-portraits were done by the children of St. Brendan's and St. Mary's in Term one. Titled "We are all in this together', this piece of art will be a beautiful reminder of the time spent learning at home during Term 3 and 4. Thank you Shelley Ryan.

09.01.2022 One week in and what was unfamiliar only a few days ago has become the new normal for the staff, children and parents of St. Brendan’s. Our days now consist of morning check-ins online, logging into emails to check on tasks and communicate, uploading work to be viewed, corrected and to receive feedback, using videos to see each other, have chats, participate in lessons and even share our Show and Tell items, as well as using our ‘packs’ of work to stay on task. There are smiles on faces, engaging conversations to be heard and laughter shared as we continue to explore new ways to continue the learning and teaching at St. Brendan’s. Well done everyone. You are all doing a fabulous job!

08.01.2022 While our school may not be operating as normal in these unusual times, we want everyone to know that enrolments at St. Brendan's are still open. This video will give you a snapshot of our school and what we can offer families. We welcome all enquiries and visits can be made by appointment. Contact can be made by email - [email protected] or by calling on 53347604.

03.01.2022 St Brendan's Catholic Primary School Open Day. Either book a time for a tour or join our community for an interactive morning. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to see and speak to our teachers, parents and students. Come and see if this is the personalized learning environment that will provide the highest levels of learning for your child.

02.01.2022 Every year at St. Brendan's we take the opportunity to celebrate our Mothers and all of the special women in our lives. Traditionally we have a liturgy and luncheon however, in 2020 things are a bit different. We didn't want to miss the opportunity to recognise our Mums and give thanks for all they do, so this year we prepared a little something for them. We hope you find the time to have a cuppa, enjoy a chocolate, read and spend time with those you love. Happy Mothers Day.

02.01.2022 After much anticipation, the Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 children returned to St. Brendan's and got to meet their new teacher Ms. Mullany. Gradually our school is returning to as it should be - filled with happy, excited children and staff. We are patiently waiting for our Seniors to join us on the 9th of June so we can all be together again.
