13.01.2022 In Science the Year 4 students were required to build a boat that will float and hold at least 10 marbles. As they are learning about the properties of materials, they had to use the right materials to ensure their boat would float. After testing their boat on water, they soon found out which materials are suitable and not suitable for building a boat. A lot of fun was had creating some fantastic designs.

They made a volcano out of sand and then placed a mixture of bi-carb soda and red food dye together in the middle of the volcano. As soon as they added vinegar to the mixture it produced a chemical reaction that looked like the volcano was erupting.
