25.01.2022 Inspired by St Declan, we have created a school prayer that will be commissioned at Mass today. Several talented students have created artworks to capture the key aspects of our prayer: Community; Compassion; Hope; Joy; Making a difference; and Love, learning and growing in faith.

21.01.2022 Today at St Declans, the Year 5 students made beautiful cards of love, encouragement, hope, support and friendship to people who are homeless in Sydney. They attached them to the snacks that the staff brought in. Great team effort teachers and students

21.01.2022 An amazing response from the school in support of the Jesuit Refugee Service. These much needed materials will be delivered this weekend. If you have any materials youd like to add please drop them in to the meeting room under the Church 9-11am on Saturday. A very generous effort in a time of real need- thank you to all who contributed.

20.01.2022 With all excursions currently postponed due to COVID-19, Yr 5 have taken part in live virtual excursions at Hyde Park Barracks and the State Library of NSW Rush for Gold exhibition. In doing this they were able to view and listen to experts, ask questions and engage with other schools.

19.01.2022 Our Year 5 students created these beautiful artworks to celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2020. All students in each class contributed a painted gumleaf.

19.01.2022 Princess Sweetpea from The Princess and the Pea made a visit to Kindergarten for a fun end to our fairytale unit.

18.01.2022 A small dedicated group of Year 6 students joined with Miss Stevens to create a virtual submission for CaSPAs Lets Dance series. They also took part in a remote workshop with other schools and a guest choreographer.



18.01.2022 Science Week 2020 was celebrated with a K-6 paper plane competition.

15.01.2022 Our students have been enjoying connecting with some of their favourite authors this week via live video conferences as part of Little Scribes Mini Writing Festival. Andrew Daddo, James Foley and Katrina McKelvey have been inspiring our very own budding authors in many classes including 1Blue and 2Green.

09.01.2022 As our Year 2 students prepare to make their First Reconciliation, a group of parents and their children gathered together via Zoom for a wonderful night of prayer and the making of good deed beads, hosted by our innovative Family Educator, Mrs Perrau.

09.01.2022 Balloons and streamers at the school gates heralded the important milestone of the first 100 days of school for our Kinder students. They celebrated the day with a range of fun activities.

09.01.2022 Year 6 collaborative Science Investigation: research, design and build a 1 metre tall structure which would withstand a simulated earthquake (table shake) for seven seconds. Many structures survived intact or with minimal damage, however some structures were not so lucky!

09.01.2022 To celebrate the launch of our newly created St Declans School Prayer, each child received a beautiful bookmark to mark the occasion.

09.01.2022 Today we welcomed back students in Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2. It is so great to have you back and to see so many smiling faces!

08.01.2022 Jesuit Refugee Service has a food bank for refugees and, like all food banks, they are low on stock. St Declans Parish is having a food drive to help stock them up. They are in need of: Rice, cooking oil, long life milk, kidney beans, lentils, chick peas, oats, cereal, toothpaste, shampoo, razors, shaving foam, deodorant, soap nappies (large). If you would like to support this organisation, you can drop items to St Declans Meeting Room (under church) on Saturday between 9 and 11am or drop materials into the school office so we can pass them on.
