25.01.2022 Are you are wondering what our priests are doing during this time of isolation? Well of course they are celebrating their daily Mass but Fr David is undertaking a three day online program "Thriving through Change and Challenge" along with other Oblates.

25.01.2022 HAPPY FEAST DAY! With joy and gratitude we celebrate the day on which our Founder and Father, St Eugene de Mazenod entered the Father's House. Today our mother church honours him as the patron saint of broken families. He went through hard times in exile and witnessed the divorce of his own parents. These days, like St Eugene we too are going through exile, stress and anxiety because of COVID 19 but the word of God invites everyone to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience and forgiveness. Above all we need to clothe ourselves with love. On this feast day, St Eugene inspires all of us to have a special love for God and for our sisters and brothers so that we all inherit the true life in Christ Jesus. We wish you a happy feast and May God Bless You.

20.01.2022 It is with sadness that we advise that Fr Donal Madigan OMI passed away on Friday 14th August. Fr Donal was an assistant priest here at St Eugene's from 2010 to 2012. Fr Donal was a gentle, genuine, caring priest always interested in people and their wellbeing and with a big heart. May he now rest in peace.

20.01.2022 For those families waiting for information for this year's Confirmation and First Holy Communion Program for children, the Archbishop has asked for the program to be postponed until the pandemic is over.

If you would like your child to participate in the 2020 Confirmation and First Holy Communion Program can you please complete the Registration form. Children 8 years of age will receive Confirmation and children 9 years of age will receive First Holy Communion. The program is for 8 to 12 year olds. Please return the registration form by 12th June to enable details to be finalised. See more

20.01.2022 It's been a big couple of weeks here in the parish. Last weekend we had 24 children receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Ken and 33 receive Holy Communion for the first time. This weekend we welcome 17 parishioners who have participated in the RCIA or RCIC program and will be Baptised, Confirmed and receive Communion for the first time. It is a privilege to welcome these people into the Catholic faith and to worship in our parish. May God Bless you all.

19.01.2022 With our Masses now filling to capacity it is imperative that you pre register to attend all Masses. We don't want to have to turn you away if we are at capacity. Also a reminder to make sure you are at Mass prior to the start of Mass to be checked in as the doors will be locked as Father starts Mass.

19.01.2022 HAPPY FATHER DAY TO ALL OUR DADS Lord God, who is Father of all, send your blessing down on these men who are fathers. For those who in the night worry for their child, grant them your comfort. For those who in the day work and struggle to provide for their child, send them your strength.... For those who mourn a child, hold them in your love. For those who play, laugh, sing and dance with their child, you share in their joy. Lord God, who is Father of all, walk with these fathers, in the light times and the dark. Bless them, and may they each be a living symbol of your fatherly love; a symbol to their children and all who they encounter. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen. See more

19.01.2022 Dear friends, in all my (nearly 44 years) of life, this is the first time that Masses have been cancelled. I agree with the Church that we have to be practically mindful as well as spiritually and religiously conscious. I believe and trust that you are well and are in the safe hands of God. It is indeed devastating all over the world because of the COVID19. With the number of deaths on the rise, the number of people affected on the increase and in spite of the various measur...es taken by the Governments the situation is worsening in the world. All of us feel helpless. We trust in God that He will help us all to be committed to fight against this pandemic and find a way out to save the whole of humanity. Fr Brian and I are very much united with you in prayer. I urge you to stay safe. Let us say with faith, "Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord." Let us continue to live the Holy week in a worthy manner, a few days that separate us from the great event of Easter: the event of light, life and peace. God bless you. See more

18.01.2022 Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. (x 3)

17.01.2022 CONFIRMATION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION At this stage we do not know if the Confirmation and First Eucharist (First Holy Communion) program will go ahead this year. However just in case it does, it is important for us to know how many children we will have participating. If you would like your child to participate in the 2020 Confirmation and First Holy Communion Program (should it go ahead) can you please complete an Expression of Interest form. https://static1.squarespace.c...om//Expression+of+Interest+fo As mentioned, this is purely to gauge how many children we may have in a program this year for planning purposes, we are not committing to the program going ahead. Children 8 years of age are eligible to receive Confirmation and children 9 years of age are eligible to receive First Holy Communion. The program is for 8 to 12 year olds. For further information please contact the parish office. See more

16.01.2022 Our wish is that during this Easter we share our love and compassion as we unite with our neighbourhood and society to spread peace and joy amongst all. 16.01.2022 Dear friends Fr Brian and I would like to greet each an every one of you and your families. Happy Easter and may the Risen Lord bless you all. The Lord is Risen Alleluia.

15.01.2022 Dear friends, tonight, with the celebration of the Lords Supper, we begin what is known as the Triduum (a word which means three days). This is the most solemn and important three days of the ecclesiastical year. These three days celebrate in solemn and dramatic fashion the Hour of Glory of Jesus His giving of Himself, His agony, suffering and death, and His resurrection. A few lessons for us: First, EUCHARIST. The Church celebrates the wonderful gift of God to her and t...he entire world the institution of the Holy Eucharist. Second, PRIESTHOOD. The institution of the Holy Eucharist by Christ on Holy Thursday equally marks the institution of the ministerial priesthood. Lastly, SERVICE. At the end of every Eucharistic celebration, the priest tells us, go in peace, yes, we go to serve. Just being kind, especially during these days of stress and anxiety because of COVID-19, is service to others. May this commemoration and celebration of the Last Supper strengthen us with more life and energy in our God oriented earthly life. May it enable us to live an ever growing Love and Service centred humble life. God bless.

14.01.2022 A very Happy Birthday to our Shepherd, Fr David, for tomorrow. May God Bless you always.
