25.01.2022 Thanks to all the students who brightened my day by taking the time to write me letters after I posted my video (posted below). The letters were personally delivered to our school mailbox. Some of you were concerned about me being a little sad and lonely. Now I am very happy! Thank you all!

23.01.2022 Some of the equipment now in place in St Francis’ new fitness gym. Looking awesome!

18.01.2022 Australian Primary Principals Day - 7th August 2020! A HUGE St Francis thank you to our College Principal Mr Simon Abernethy! Thank you for the leadership and positive contribution you bring each and every day to staff members, students, families and the wider community! We appreciate the incredible and valuable work you do. We hope you enjoy your day! #PrincipalsDay2020

15.01.2022 I'm letting you in on a little secret.... video presentations & having fun are nothing new to the staff of St Francis. Clever Miss Linkenbagh has edited some video footage of the staff having fun last year and would like to present it for your viewing pleasure. This is the first of two videos to be released. Can you guess which movies the staff are representing? At home name the movies that are labelled 1-17 and the identify the 4 advertisements. We'll give you the answers o...n Sunday night! Enjoy!

10.01.2022 Book Week 2020 - ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’ Last Tuesday SFCC got their curious and wild on to celebrate Book Week 2020! Students from K-6 not only enjoyed dressing up but participating in a variety of literacy activities focussed on many of the shortlisted books for this year. It was also wonderful to see many of our staff join in the fun!

10.01.2022 Our new Performance Centre is now complete. The building had its final inspection on Wednesday and is looking amazing. The team at Morabito Constructions and JDH Architects have delivered a high-quality building on budget and on time. We are very pleased and between now and the beginning of new term we will be moving in furniture and equipment, ensuring that the building is ready for the students to use in Term 4. Here are some photos of the rooms before the equipment goes in.

09.01.2022 Students in Year 5 were asked to provide an insight into their learning as part of the Middle Years, Ignite Program. Ada provides an outstanding example of how she has been learning remotely & encouraging her younger sister Luna to do so. Thanks to Ms Kolar our Leader of Middle Years Learning for organising the Ignite program.

07.01.2022 All the staff of St Francis are very exciting about the students returning on Monday. St Francis will indeed 'Come Alive!' Thanks to Miss Linkenbagh & all the staff for providing some entertainment to show the kids how excited we are that are returning!

05.01.2022 Students: I miss you all, but I am looking after St Francis College. I made this little video to prove it to you. Enjoy!

02.01.2022 Over the past couple of years many parents and students have commented favourably when viewing our architect's 3D Walk Through concept design for St Francis which has been available on our website. Tonight, we are very pleased to present a new walk through that accurately depicts what St Francis Catholic College will look like in the near future now that the vast majority of our buildings have been designed and planned. The only building not appearing is the Senior Years Block and that design in currently in its final stages of design. Thanks to JDH Architects. Enjoy!

01.01.2022 National Tree Day- Help Us Reach Our Target Did you know : Australia has the worst mammal extinction rate in the world with 30 native mammals becoming extinct since European settlement.... More than 1,700 species of animals and plants are currently listed by the Australian Government as being at risk of extinction. This is due mainly to the loss of habitat through clearing of vegetation. National Tree Day is the 31st July 2020. Catastrophic bushfires earlier this year wiped out Australian wildlife and their habitats. In 2019, our SEALS (St Francis Environmental Learning Society) Committee teamed up with WOODiWiLD to establish the SFCC micro-forest in Aussie farmland. The SFCC micro-forest is located just outside of Wagga Wagga supporting the regeneration of trees in our local environment. All you need to do is purchase a tree for $10 and our school will receive $2 for every tree purchased in the SFCC Forest. Click here to help! https://woodiwild.org/st-francis-catholic-college-edmondso/ Over the next decade, WOODiWILD's goal is to re-plant 1 million trees on farms across Australia with the help of Australian schools. These trees will provide a habitat for our threatened wildlife and help to address climate change. You will be asked to name the tree and will receive a unique map reference for you to see, and follow, the growth of the tree. We hope you will get involved and purchase a tree in the SFCC Forest! We set our target to 400 in 2019 and are hoping our forest grows even closer to that total in 2020. The COUNTDOWN is on! ONLY 304 trees to go!

01.01.2022 Our Performance Centre is under construction and due for completion for the start of Term 4 this year. It will have a large undercroft that leads into the Hall. Two music rooms, 4 music practice rooms, a room for the College Band, Drama workshop, Dance studio, Fitness Gymnasium and associated storerooms. Construction has also started on our new 1700 seat Hall. Construction on our Middle Years Block (18 Classrooms & 2 Practical Activity Spaces) is currently out for tender and... should commence construction in July. Everything coming together nicely at St Francis. This video shows some of the stages of development of the Performance Centre. Thanks to Mr K Brassington from Sydney Aerial Imagery for the footage.
