20.01.2022 This week we are celebrating book week. This years theme is 'Curious Creatures, Wild Minds'. Due to current COVID restrictions and having to adhere to social distancing rules, our parade was a little different this year. However, the quality of the costumes and enthusiasm of the students was outstanding. Thank you to everyone involved in helping the students organise their great costumes. Here are some snapshots of our parade and our lucky book voucher winners.

18.01.2022 Mrs Turner has taken an active role in supporting our environmental group, helping children grow and harvest herbs, fruits and vegetables. It is great to see so many children enjoying the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the name of education. Yesterday, Mrs Turner and some students uncovered a mammoth 2.6kg sweet potato. All of the children helping out with the gardening are given produce to take home to help them appreciate the benefits of growing your own food.

17.01.2022 As part of our book week celebrations this week, each grade was asked to decorate their classroom door representing a book they are reading in class. As you can see, the results are outstanding. Well done everyone!!!

15.01.2022 We would like to congratulate all the students who participated in our public speaking competition this year. Due to COVID, the process was a little different and the students presented their speeches and poetry within respective year levels. It was a great effort by everyone who participated and the teachers certainly had a tough job deciding. Unfortunately there is no zone level for public speaking this year. We are pleased to share with you the recipients of the 'Outstanding Achievers' award for each grade.

12.01.2022 This week our Year 6 students engaged in their Canberra comes to us week in lieu of the missed opportunity to travel to Canberra this year. The activities provided them with a deeper insight into the workings of our country’s capital, as well as an opportunity to celebrate their time together as a group of friends before they say farewell at the end of the year. Thank you to the Year 6 teachers and everyone involved for making it a memorable week.

Some of our students were excited to have our Indigenous Support Worker, Miss Jarrett, read a story that she wrote in 2014 based on her own Aboriginal identity. The characters in the book represent her family members and the story explains some history of Indigenous women.
