23.01.2022 Good Afternoon, St George Adult Night Swimming is now Closed. With the ongoing issue of the stink beetles invading the pool in the evenings due to recent rain, and the temperatures easing thus the pool cooling down somewhat lately. I would like to advise that we will no longer be offering Night Swimming. ... I have given much consideration to the end of night swimming for this season and apologise to those that were hoping to get a few more weeks. I would like to thank you all for your patronage and hope that you have enjoyed the opportunity to be able to swim in the evenings. I would like to extend a big thank you to the volunteer lifeguards, Tammie, Luke, Claire, Vicky, Ben & Jess for your time and commitment. I would also like to thank Trish & the Balonne Shire Council for your support for the season, and we look forward to continuing Night Swimming next season. Thanks again Sash

17.01.2022 Volunteer Lifeguards Required I hope you have all been keeping well. With summer fast approaching, I am wondering what level of interest there may be for Adult Night Swimming to continue this summer. Unfortunately, volunteer lifeguards are few and far between and for Adult Night Swimming to continue this year we would require some additional lifeguards to be able to rotate lifeguarding responsibilities. ... Proposing three nights a week again this year. I am only able to assist with one evening per week this year due to family commitments. If you have the skills and would like to offer your help with volunteer duties or are interested in obtaining your First Aid and Lifeguard Certificate at your own expense, please let me know. When we know we have enough Lifeguards to be able to go ahead with adult night swimming this year, I can then speak with Council Management regarding same. Kind Regards Sash

13.01.2022 Adult Night Swimming Returns for 2020. Thanks to the Council and some new Volunteers we have managed to get Adult Night Swimming underway for 2020. Commencing Monday 9th November, 2020.... Standard Pool Entry Fees Apply. Covid Safe Sign in & Out Register will be operating. Strictly Adults Only (18+) Night swimming will be operated weekly on: Monday 7pm to 8:30pm Tuesday 7pm to 8:30pm Thursday 7pm to 8:30pm The public is not to enter the pool grounds until 7pm. Other community clubs are hiring the pool prior to night swimming at 7pm, please wait patiently on the seats outside the pool grounds until the Night Guards arrive and it is safe for entry. Please keep an eye on this page, Night Swimming can be cancelled at short notice due to storm activity. Thanking you and see you at the pool!! Kind regards Sash
