23.01.2022 65% of Australians have not seen a dentist in the last two years! It is important to have a regular review every 6-12 months and not just make an appointment when there is a problem. A review with one of our paediatric specialists will include a detailed oral and myofunctional examination, x-rays (if required) and a professional clean and fluoride application. We hope to see your child for their check up soon #DentalHealthWeek

23.01.2022 How much sugar have you already consumed today? Have a look at how many spoonfuls of sugar are in these popular drinks! It would probably be best to grab a glass of tap water to accompany tonight's dinner. #DentalHealthWeek

21.01.2022 We are excited to inform our patients that we are now an accredited dental practice! 20.01.2022 Our main priority at St George Paediatric Dental Specialists has always been the health and safety of our patients, staff and the wider community. We would like to inform our patients that after taking advice from the Australian Dental Association (NSW) & the Australian Government’s announcement to suspend all elective surgeries, we have made the decision to temporarily close our practice from tomorrow 27th March 2020. If your child has an emergency during this time, such as ...a facial swelling or dental trauma, we would encourage you to contact the Westmead Children’s Hospital. If your child develops any pain, or if you have any concerns please email [email protected] and one of our paediatric dentists will be in contact with you. When it is safe to re-open, we will be in contact with all of our patients who have been cancelled to reschedule your appointment. We thank you for your continued support. Please keep safe & healthy and do you your part to slow the spread of Covid 19.

19.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: We hope everyone is keeping safe and well during this challenging time. As restrictions on dental practice eases from Level 3 to Level 2, St George Paediatric Dental Specialists will be open for appointments from Friday May 1st 2020. We are now able to provide a wider range of dental services with some restrictions. If your child requires a dental appointment please call 9588 1663 to discuss options that are available with one of our friendly staff.... At St George Paediatric Dental Specialists, we have strict infection control precautions already in place, and have adopted additional measures such as frequent disinfection of waiting room facilities, use of hand sanitisers and mouth rinse on arrival to optimise everyone’s safety. Dr Susan Hsieh, Dr Thuy Nguyen, Dr Melissa Warren and all the staff at St George Paediatric Dental Specialists.

17.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: At St George Paediatric Dental Specialists we would like to thank all our patients and families for continuing their dental care during this period. Our clinic is currently closed on Monday and Wednesday. We are still contactable via email [email protected] or our clinic phone number 9588 1663. Our staff will endeavour to reply to your queries in a timely manner.

16.01.2022 Important: Temporary closure of our practice. We have been advised by the Australian Dental Association to cease all routine dental treatment until end of April, to help slow the spread of COVID-19. In addition to universal precautions (e.g. disinfection of surfaces, autoclaving instruments, protective wear) and social distancing, we need to avoid creating aerosols which remain infectious for up to 3 hours (e.g. water spray, handpieces also known as drills, cleans). We will b...e in contact with patients who are already booked in for appointments to advise processes we have in place during our closure. The link below is from a respected medical colleague on the frontline. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this challenging time. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe everyone.

04.01.2022 One of our ‘oral health packs’ ready to be delivered to our local preschool for #DentalHealthWeek.

02.01.2022 Did you know that 73% of young people (14-18 years old) are consuming too much sugar? Each time you eat foods containing sugar you feed the bacteria in your mouth that causes tooth decay. It is important we know how to read food labels to check the amount of sugar we are consuming. #DentalHealthWeek
