24.01.2022 Tonight because St Helens Scout Group couldn’t hold their usual Anzac Vigil, we place 4 candles on our cenotaph to mark our respect for this missed opportunity ...of being there in person. Zoe our newest Venturer who is waiting for a formal link ceremony lit the candles at 6pm in the hope that they will burn until morning. We will replace them if needed in the morning to burn throughout the day. See more

21.01.2022 Hi there Scout families, Next week Scouts will be participating in a Mountain Bike Riding Session. At the conclusion of the session, our visiting Scout, Will, ...is having his head shaved to raise funds for the Worlds greatest shave. Will’s Scout Group in Qld is participating and we will video the event to send back to his Troop. Please see below the link for Will’s fundraising page and if you can spare a few dollars, it’s for a fantastic cause. Cheers Soapy Sandi Johnson https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au//FundraisingPage

13.01.2022 The results of the Scouts Australia Resilience Survey are in, and it’s official young people who participate in Scouts have an overall better life satisfactio...n than their peers, and the longer they stay in Scouts the more resilient they are likely to become. This is exciting news for our Scouting community across the country, as it reaffirms what we’ve known for over 113 years Scouting and resilience go hand in hand! We are so pleased to share with you the results of Resilient Youth Australia’s survey into the impact of Scouting on the resilience of young Australians. Check out the key findings from the Resilience Survey https://bit.ly/scoutingeffect

10.01.2022 Hi there Scouters, You can all still achieve your Their service our heritage badges this year. For those that participated in our Zoom meeting last night we ha...d a guest speaker from the RSL, which was one activity. The 2nd activity is to send through a photo of yourself participating in the Anzac Vigil tonight and the 3rd activity will be to stand in your driveway at 6am for Anzac Day dawn service, again a photo sent to me will be the evidence required. I will be presenting the below pictured special Anzac Day badge to everyone who sends me a picture participating in the Dawn Service or Anzac Vigil. Cheers Soapy

08.01.2022 Term 4 for St Helens Scout group, started in style! We had a whole group ceremony, including Investitures, Linking Up ceremonies, visitors from our local Lions... Club and Markets Association and our whole group was presented their new Award Record books and new badges that leaders worked for hours transitioning them too. This was made possible from generous donations made from St Helens Lions club and St Helens Market association. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work by all leaders, adult and youth, in the transition process and term 4 planning. See more
