18.01.2022 St Helens Dental has installed an OPG x-ray machine at their surgery. On a single film, which takes less than 20 seconds to take, it will display all of the teeth on the upper and lower jaw. It provides valuable information of the wisdom teeth, bone loss, orthodontic assessment, jaw trauma and dental pain. This machine which was not previously available on the east coast of Tasmania now saves our patients time and travel of having to go to Launceston or Hobart.

14.01.2022 How much toothpaste should you be using for your age?? 0-18mths: We recommend brushing but no toothpaste is needed. 18mths-3yrs: Low fluoride toothpaste (the size of a grain of rice).... 3yrs-7yrs: A pea size amount of low fluoride toothpaste. 7yrs +: A pea size amount of standard toothpaste. Adult: A pea size amount of standard toothpaste.
