16.01.2022 Discussion Opportunity Parnella Heights Landslip Area Saturday 31 January, 2015 @ 1.30 pm 4 pm O’Connors Beach, Stieglitz... (Look for the caravan and marquee) The State Government has provided $500,000 over two years to undertaking initial planning and commence priority construction works to reduce the risks of future landslides in the area. The proposed activities include: Seawall investigations and design, includes geotechnical assessment at Chimney Heights for critical slope stability Seawall construction in the priority zone/s to be identified through the investigation and design stage. Stormwater Management Plan and design work for immediate infrastructure works. Stormwater priority works on St Helens Point Rd, Treloggens Track and at Chimney Heights. Representatives from Mineral Resources Tasmania (MRT), Break O’Day Council and Parks & Wildlife Service will be available to discuss this project with you which will include a detailed historical review of the site including assessment, investigations and construction activities that have previously occurred on the site as well as the geological and geomorphological changes to the site.
