23.01.2022 Planning on going for a ride tomorrow? The Bureau of Meteorology has issued to severe weather warnings for our area for Strong winds and rain. If you decide to brave the weather, please be aware that there may be debris on the trails and falling limbs. Stay Safe out there!

23.01.2022 The news you have all been waiting for.... MACK 10 IS OPEN! Just a reminder that this is a Black diamond trail with double black features so we recommend you give it a roll before you send it!

21.01.2022 We understand the frustrations of trails being closed, but this is a great video that showcases why it's important to close off trails, particularly if there has been tonnes of rain! We all need to work together to preserve them for future riding. Please remember the top half of the Bay of Fires trail is still currently closed to ensure your safety and to help create a greater riding experience when it re-opens. Happy watching!

19.01.2022 Hot of the press! MACK 10 opening Saturday 28 November Our latest and final trail Mack 10 has just been completed by World Trail and it is really something a bit special! Below you can see a video of two World Trail builders tackling one of the most beautifully crafted features of the trail, known affectionately as ‘Bubble Head’. Don’t be fooled, World Trail make it look easy but it is a challenging feature! This trail is a Black Diamond with some double black features so we recommend you take your first roll slow and wear safety gear including a full face helmet.

14.01.2022 Flagstaff Road and Network - CLOSED Wednesday 25 November from 7am - 4pm. Unfortunately we will be keeping the St Helens MTB Network and Flagstaff Road closed tomorrow to continue resealing works. The Bay of Fires Trail remains open. The network will reopen on Thursday 26 November.

14.01.2022 Australian Mountain Bike Magazine recently visited the St Helens Mountain Bike Trails, here's what they had to say

12.01.2022 ...more info on the severe weather headed our way over the next couple of days.

11.01.2022 We’re about to throw some serious shade Starting this Wednesday 14 October, we will start the installation of some shade sails at the St Helens MTB Trailhead at Flagstaff. This will provide some much needed shade ready for the busy summer holidays.... This means that there will be construction works at the Trailhead over several months with completion scheduled for mid-December. This will mean restricted access to the main amenity area. Access to the toilet block, the Lid café and shuttle drop-off and pickup will still be accessible.

09.01.2022 TRAIL CLOSURES DUE TO RECENT HIGH WIND AND RAIN EVENT Dreaming Pools Wedged In Garnup... At this stage the rest of the trails are open and are riding well but we can't stress the importance of being aware of the trail conditions. Following trail inspections today unfortunately we have to close the above trails due to the recent weather events. The events have caused a large amount of trees and debris to fall on the trails and they are not safe to ride. We are working diligently to rectify the situation but unfortunately they won't be open until possibly late next week, however we will open the trails as soon as practicable and we will provide updates on this page as the clean up work progresses. We apologise for any inconvenience but safety is paramount.

08.01.2022 At this stage trails are open (except top 20km of Bay of Fires and Dorset Council have closed the Blue Tier Trail) please be aware that the trails will be wet, boggy in part and it is likely trees and limbs may be down so to ride to conditions. If this changes throughout the day posts will be placed on this page.

08.01.2022 TRAIL CLOSURES Just a reminder that due to the wild weather we had last week, the following trails are closed: Dreaming Pools... Wedged In Garnup Top half of the Bay of Fires Trail - Ansons Bay to Swimcart is open. We appreciate you staying off these trails while we work to get them back in to tip-top shape! :)

04.01.2022 The Dreaming Pools will re-open 8am tomorrow - Wednesday 7 October. Just a reminder to those thinking of riding the Dreaming Pools that you need to be prepared. There will be climbs, you are taken through remote areas where there is little to no mobile reception and you will certainly feel it ... Before you go make sure you have: Water, a snack and a first aid kit A puncture repair kit, and most importantly... There are mobile black spots on the trails so we STRONGLY recommend you let someone know where you are headed and what time you will be back. You can never be too prepared!

03.01.2022 The sun is shining and the trails are in great nick! This little corner of the network is at the bottom of the Old Salty Dog descent. A good spot to recoup and cool down for the climb back up. Luke Webster Big Shed Studios
