16.01.2022 The results of the Scouts Australia Resilience Survey are in, and it’s official young people who participate in Scouts have an overall better life satisfactio...n than their peers, and the longer they stay in Scouts the more resilient they are likely to become. This is exciting news for our Scouting community across the country, as it reaffirms what we’ve known for over 113 years Scouting and resilience go hand in hand! We are so pleased to share with you the results of Resilient Youth Australia’s survey into the impact of Scouting on the resilience of young Australians. 13.01.2022 Tonight because St Helens Scout Group couldn’t hold their usual Anzac Vigil, we place 4 candles on our cenotaph to mark our respect for this missed opportunity ...of being there in person. Zoe our newest Venturer who is waiting for a formal link ceremony lit the candles at 6pm in the hope that they will burn until morning. We will replace them if needed in the morning to burn throughout the day. See more

05.01.2022 World Scout Scarf Day 1st August 2019 This year the Branch Commissioner has come up with a couple of exciting things for the youth to do on World Scout Day. *One is to email the attachment (below) to all your friends, put how many you have emailed on your group Facebook, and see who can do the most.... **Second, do a Good Turn and put the Good Turn on your group Facebook, and see who can do the best Good Turn. For the people who cant remember what a Good Turn is, its doing something for someone without receiving something in return. e.g., washing mums car, washing up, mowing the lawn, etc. For these things to happen, you will have to send the information to a leader or parent who can write to the Group Facebook page. ***Dont forget to wear your scarf on 1st August*** Regards Michael Hovington Chief Commissioner
