25.01.2022 Waking to the news of the bushfires at home makes us feel a little helpless. Wishing we could be there to lend our support to the community who has looked after us so well. If there is anything we can do, please drop into the restaurant and the gang will help you out. Much love, Alex & Jo



24.01.2022 On a wet and cold winters day, it’s nice to take your mind back to lovely things...like...weddings. It is true that we are no longer holding celebrations on site, but we are catering exclusively at the magnificently beautiful Old Church at Milton with the equally wonderful Lucey Best running the show. We are showing off our wares during the South Coast Wedding Fair on 4 August from 10.30-4.30pm. If you want to see the venue and have a chat, pop on by and have a glass of bubbles with us.

24.01.2022 In August 2011 we crazily opened St Isidore when it was just the two us and an idea that wed give this own your own restaurant thing a go. Fast forward 8 full laps around the sun and so much has happened. Weve had the thrill of awards and hats and Top 100s and its been an unbelievable experience. The fact that we still see the same faces as we did that first week that we opened is equal in the joy it brings. While we are still enjoying and doing well, its time to let... her go. Its pretty rare to close a restaurant when it is, as we feel, at her peak and on our own terms. Its time for us now to do something that works for our little family. We need Alex back in our world so we can do those normal family things like go to the beach together and, you know, sit on the couch and fight over the last of the cheese and bacon balls as a family. Its been a pleasure to have you into our other home for the last 8 years and we will forever be grateful for the support, love and understanding you have graced upon us. And its not at all sad because a new project from us is already underway. Still in Milton, still good food and service. Just a bit smaller and easier to manage with three little rascals running around the place. So thank you, we never dreamed it would be what it is and could not have been anyway near as wonderful without our staff past and present. So, heres to the next episode. It will be local, it will be Small Town Food + Wine. It will be Food, it will be wine, it will be a classic stirred cocktail, it will be very cosy. It will be a place to meet up for a drink, for an oyster or a snack, for a meal. And it will have the same DNA as St Isidore, but will offer a new alternative for the area. Big thanks again for the support you have shown us, we are honoured to have celebrated and shared memories with so many of you. Our last service will be Saturday August 24, we hope to see your faces in these last weeks. We also cant wait to see you @smalltownmilton in early spring. Im not sure how to draw a line joining these belted galloways on Martin Ridge Farm and our need for a casual to join or team. Ill ponder that. Number 6 regional NSW restaurant again, and a star and two wine glasses - we are so stoked. Our teams lead by Luke Bow and Martin Duffy are bloody champions. Sasha Siljanovic our wine dude and friend, you are a marvel. To our loyal customers, thank you for being a part of this story, we are so humbled to still be here 5 years after opening.

You must have a minimum of 2 years experience in fine dining as well as good communication skills, a sense of humor, ability & willingness to learn and an RSA. You must also have a keen interest in food and basic knowledge of wine service. 03.01.2022 There are not one, but two magical things that happen at St Isidore on a Thursday. The first thing is that it is harvest day, so all those peas and radishes and beetroots and asparagus on your plate, well they just departed the garden bed earlier today. The second super magical thing is that Thursday night is still LOCALS NIGHT where $60 will get you antipasti to share, choice of main, choice of dessert and a glass of wine.... Love Thursdays.
