23.01.2022 Were still coming to terms with todays tennis news.

22.01.2022 With summer upon us, members of the club executive were busy this morning pruning and replanting the Cheetham / Stewart Members Area gardens in anticipation of some leisurely afternoons of tennis and post-game recovery over the coming months. Our thanks to President / Treasurer Rod, and Vice Presidents Murray and Damon for their efforts.

05.01.2022 A brief history of St James Tennis Club: 2015 saw the 60th Anniversary of the official opening in 1955, following the completion in 1952 on land donated by North Bulli Colliery. The original courts were loam, a traditional surface that required a lot of maintenance from club members. ... Social Sunday was when those wanting to join the club would have to prove their worth with a game with existing members lining the court to pass judgement. Once accepted, you were welcomed with open arms & encouraged to participate in all club events, which included Christmas functions, President vs Secretaries days & of course the Sunday Social. During the 1960s the courts were upgraded to concrete, with the current grass surface being laid in 1993. The courts are still maintained by dedicated members who volunteer their time. If youd like to join a long standing tennis group, contact us today - NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME!

05.01.2022 Do you need to refresh your tennis skills? Contact us to hire a court or two for you and your friends to have a game!
