25.01.2022 Andrew is involved with Spring Fair at St Johns this year in arranging entertainment to go with other activities on the day. He has a great line up of live bands organised to play as well as some community groups coming to perform. Andrew looks forward to meeting many from our community for a day of fun and sharing with our Church. Andrews favourite Bible quote: "Choose this day whom you will serve ... but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. - Joshua 24:15... Why does this give him hope: This verse shares my faith as well as the call to those who need salvation in the Lord.

24.01.2022 Jeff will be at Spring Fair to be as helpful as possible to those who come. Hes keen to introduce people to Gods son, Jesus. Jeff became a Christian at the age of 22. His time in our Church community is taken up by being involved in various ministries, as Jesus would want. Jeffs favourite Bible quote: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16... Why this verse gives him hope: This verse gives me hope for eternity and it also reveals the love God has for us. The fact that God would do such a drastic thing to revive a relationship with us by saving us displays the real love He has for us. The Bible also guarantees that once we truly belong to Jesus nothing can remove His love for us.

15.01.2022 Were excited to introduce Anastasia! Anastasia is 20 and she absolutely loves people!! We recently asked Anastasia a couple of questions: Q. What will you be doing at Spring Fair on Saturday? A. At Spring Fair, Ill be floating around doing odd jobs . If youre looking for someone to chat to on the day, just grab me and Ill drop everything. One of my favourite sayings is that strangers are just friends you havent met yet .... Q. What are you involved with at Church? A. At Church I help out with MAD (Year 2-6 youth group) and my biggest passions are looking for ways to love people (although I do stuff it up a lot) and talking about Jesus. Q. Whats your favourite Bible verse and why? A. To be completely honest, I have no idea what my favourite bible verse is, but one passage Ive loved chewing through lately is from John 3, verses 27-30. John the Baptist is talking about Jesus, and it says: "I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him. The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegrooms voice. That joy is mine and it is now complete. He must become greater, I must become less." How good is that! Not only are we joined to Jesus as his bride, through his sacrifice on the cross, but we also get the joy of seeing others come to Him too! And that joy, found in Christ and fellowship with Him, is in no way diminished or depleted when we make ourselves less, and when He becomes greater. Ive actually found in my own life that this is where the pinnacle of my joy comes from, when Jesus (not me, though theres the fleshy part of my heart that wants to be) is exalted. Jesus, your love for us is so great - I cannot fathom all of it. But for what I do understand, I thank you. I am a sinner saved by your amazing grace.

As a result we have put together some youtube videos to watch either as individuals or in families and small groups. There are three videos for this week, a kids spot, some prayers and a bible talk on 2 Timothy 2. 08.01.2022 For Spring Fair, Cassie is running the kids cafe stall. She is also one of the leaders for our youth group, WAY, on Friday nights, the music coordinator for our 6pm service, and Cassie also serves on our Parish Council. Her favourite Bible quote: "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5 ... Why this verse gives her hope: This verse gives me hope because it reminds me that I am saved through nothing that Ive done but everything that God has done and that I can come to him at all times knowing that even though I dont deserve it I am forgiven and made alive through Christ.

07.01.2022 Jen is the coordinator for Spring Fair this year. She and her family joined the St Johns family when she was 4 years old and she still regularly attends with her husband Dave. They are also actively serving in various ways at both 930 and 600 services and in ministry for youth and kids. Her favourite Bible quote: "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life." - 1 John 5:13... Why: Because this verse gives me great hope! It was the verse God used to show me that when I trust His son with my life, there is a much better place waiting for me when I leave this broken world behind.
