16.01.2022 If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life.

15.01.2022 Yesterday our Years 5 & 6 students held our End of Year Liturgy. As a school, we reflected on what an amazing, challenging and rewarding year 2020 has been. Thank you to Father Shaju for reading the Gospel and delivering a beautiful Homily. Finally, we also said farewell to our graduating Year 6 students and Miss Kate.

11.01.2022 What an incredible day our Years 5/6 students had! They started the day at the Thompson River with a cruise from Skipper Smithy. Afterwards, they enjoyed playing in the park and then lunch at the QANTAS Museum. Following lunch, the students did a self-paced tour of the Museum and Heritage Listed Hangar. Finally, they received a tour from the amazing Ria who showed us around the Air Park. Students and teachers got to take a photo in a 747 engine, tour the inside of 747 as well as a Super Constellation. A massive thank you to Mrs Bourne who accompanied the students with Miss Winch, as well as Outback Aussie Tours and the Qantas Founders Museum, Longreach.

10.01.2022 To all of our incredible Dads and those who fill fatherly roles, please make sure you drive by the school for a special Fathers’s Day surprise!

01.01.2022 This afternoon we held our first ‘Genius Hour Showcase’. Students have been working for the past 10 weeks to create their own projects and today they got to show off their final creations. The theme this term was ‘community’ so it was wonderful to see students explaining their thoughts and opinions to not just their peers but also involving the broader Barcaldine community. We had environmental talks, natural playgrounds, paintings, movie storyboards and recycled art to name a few.

01.01.2022 Welcome to Week 10!
