25.01.2022 Dear Parishioners, Since the NEW NSW Government Order on Gatherings limit number of people that may participate in religious gatherings (10 people maximum, excluding the persons necessary for the conduct of the services) our St Lazarus Parish has introduced REGULAR DAILY serving of the DIVINE LITURGY Service, EVERY DAY AT 8:30am (Sundays at 10:00am), so that greater number of our Parishioners may participate and receive Holy Sacraments. Although we have 4 labourers there are too many plants. ... We are asking for volunteers for TOMORROW and this SATURDAY from 9am. Please let me know if you can come or can find others who can come. 01.01.2022 NEW COVID RESTRICTIONS & ATTENDING ST LAZARUS CHURCH St Lazarus Parish is trying to accommodate as many people as possible during this COVID period, but without breaking COVID-19 restrictions. We have introduced more services in order to enable more of our parishioners attending the services. Thank you to our amazingly loyal parishioners for your patience and understanding throughout the previous nine months.... Church services will be served every day next week, Monday 4th to Saturday 9th January at 8.30am and our regular Sunday church services start at 10.00am. The NSW Government has sensibly reverted to the regulation of one person per 4m2 at churches, after a new outbreak of Covid-19. For St Lazarus Church, this means a total of approximately 25 faithful in the church at any given time and another 35 in the adjoining hall. Consequently, for the Christmas period, our parishioners must text Fr Miodrag on 0418 270 208 to reserve their attendance at a particular service. THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS Please note that church will be open all day on Badnji-Dan (the day before Christmas), on Wednesday, 6th January, from 8.00am to 9.00pm. The badnjak will be blessed at the morning service (8.30am) and parishioners will be able to orderly, without crowding and keeping the physical distance of 1.5m, attend church up to 10-15 min. (depending on number of people waiting) to pray, light candles and pick up badnjak all day till 9.00pm. We will have ushers. CHRISTMAS DAY - January 7th Christmas Day service will be served on Thursday at 8.30am. Please note that the number of attendees is limited to 60, so reserve your spot on time by texting your name/s to Fr Miodrag on 0418 270 208.
