22.01.2022 Aaaaaand our banner is up! Today our shipping container banner went up after weeks of back and forth collaboration between Tip Shop Volunteers Heidi and Guy. In keeping with the Tip Shop ethos, all materials, including the tarp, were sourced secondhand from tip shop donations.... Here at the St Mary’s Tip Shop we always promote the 5 R’s of sustainability: Reduce Reuse Repair Repurpose Recycle Look out for the Tip Shop banner next time you drop by And don’t forget, 100 percent of proceeds go to St Marys District Hospital.

19.01.2022 Some great items just in late this afternoon - a cot, a white cotton armchair perfect for the nursery and a garden mulcher in pretty good nick. Pop in Sunday from 2 - 4 pm

17.01.2022 St Mary’s Tip Shop will be open again tomorrow between 11 am and 3 pm. We have received some top-notch donations recently so why not pop in and say g’day and have a browse amongst all our fresh new goodies. We’ve got a set of four quality director’s chairs in great nick all with freshly washed canvas inserts - only $7 each or take the lot for $25. They’d be great outside around the barbecue area now that summer is in full swing.... We’ve also got some beautiful ex-shop stock bracelets - only $3 each. Some kind person has also donated brand new with tags giftware such as fridge magnets, hair dyes, beauty gift packs and hair bows. Pop in and pick some up for your Christmas stockings or Secret Santas. All our Tip Shop staff are super friendly and happy to help with any questions you may have. Hope to see y’all there tomorrow

16.01.2022 Have you got your tickets yet for our inaugural St Mary’s Tip Shop Christmas Raffle? The prize is an absolute ripper - two vertical hanging planters kindly made and donated by St Mary’s locals Mark + Marie Owens. Tickets are... 1 for $1 2 for $3 8 for $5 Raffle tickets are able to be purchased at the Tip Shop on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays or at the hospital at any time. Get behind this great raffle and who knows...you may well be the lucky winner of this incredible prize. Raffle drawn on Sunday 20th December at 3 pm and winner announced here

15.01.2022 Biggest thanks to local legends Mark + Marie Owens for donating these incredible vertical succulent planter boxes to our very own St Mary’s Tip Shop. These are a super neat idea - a living artwork if you like. Marie sourced the picture frames from the Tip Shop, Mark cleverly constructed the sides and bases then Marie arranged all the elements with her expert artistic eye.... These planter boxes are designed to be hung on the wall and have already been installed with special bolts and super strong hanging wire so they’re all ready to rock n’ roll. The planters will be raffled off over the next few weeks leading up to Christmas so next time you’re in the Tip Shop, consider purchasing some raffle tickets - only $1 each or 3 for $2. This would make an incredible Christmas gift so please support us in raising some much-needed funds which, as always, go directly to St Mary’s District Hospital. Please note: as these are a living artwork, they won’t be on display at the Tip Shop itself. And thanks again Mark + Marie - such a special gift to our local community

11.01.2022 Today was the last day of our competition to name the Tip Shop mascot cow, generously made by St Mary’s local Jim Hanlon. In the interests of fairness we put all competition entries into a hat and Tip Shop staff member Heidi mixed them up and carefully drew out the winning entry. So there you have it - little mate’s name is officially Scrappy...so if you’re the one who contributed the winning entry we don’t actually have a prize for you but the mascot will bear your name for ...perpetuity. Welcome Scrappy!
