15.01.2022 This year has presented many challenges due to Covid-19. Which seen the competition of BBI stop for a number of weeks. However all clubs have done their best to be Covid-19 safe implementing practices to maintain players safety. With that in mind on Friday, the competition started again playing a final series. Semi finals Prems played a very enthusiastic hills tigers side. Scoring 80 runs was not quite enough with hills tigers getting the win. 92-80 with 2 skins each was the... final score. Mattew Suttcliffe had a captains knock taking MOM honours. The prems finished 4th over all. 2s. Played for a spot to get into the grand final taking on the strong club of raptors. Unfortunately lost 111-78 taking 2 skins. The young guns Lachlan Jacobs (20) and Aiden kells (19) showing they can handle the big games scoring a combined 39 runs between them. 3s. Played the newest club to join the BBI in the southern stars. Dale Stratton once again had an outstanding performance taking MOM honours with a contribution of 36. However it was the stars that prevailed taking the win 101-85 2 skins each. Our 3s finished 4th. 4s. Played the castle hill cougars. Getting the result that was needed to keep their season alive. Scoring an even 100 beating 88 that the cougars produced (100-88) 2 skins each. Dylan butler was named MOM with a contribution of 17. Colts. Played a strong Liverpool side going down 89-141 taking 1 skin. Connor canty trying his best by hitting 20 off his own stick. With all colts players able to play next year it is a good sign of things to come. The colts finished 4th over all. With the restarting of the competition the masters missed out in the semi finals finishing up in 6th place. Preliminary final 2s. Played a very strong Liverpool side. In a high scoring affair going down to the last over but unfortunately losing 140-124 taking 1 skin. Scott Payne doing what Scott Payne does and hitting 31 by himself to try and keep the side alive. The 2s finished 3rd place. 4s. The 4s side this year has had their fair share of close games but none closer to get into the grand final. Taking on the stars, with an over to go the stars were in front by 3 however a great fight shown by the boys got them the win. The final score 96-95 taking 2 skins each. It was an epic over from jarrod Procter under pressure to get the win. MOM honours going to dean manning with a contribution 21. Well done boys and good luck in the grand final. The 4s play their grand final tomorrow night 7pm at Liverpool against Liverpool. The wolves player of the round this week goes to Jarrod procter from the men’s fours. With everything on the line in the last over of the game needing -4 to win the game for a place in the grand final and did exact that!! Well done and good luck tomorrow night. Well done to all players with man of match honours. Thanks again to all of our sponsors Set by set fitness, nashdale produce and art of Pain. Go wolves!!

03.01.2022 Hi All I have been in a dozen meetings over the last 24hours trying to understand the current advice being given by the government & NSW health. That advice asks us to cease cross zone competitions. I have fought hard to find a way to continue the competition but have been unsuccessful. So effective immediately, the BBI competition for 2020 is being suspended for 6 weeks. We are looking at organising a 2 week round robin/final series in early October to round out the seaso...n and I will have more information on this next week. Please know that I tried everything possible but with the weight of government and NSW health pressing us, this was the only reasonable outcome for our industry. All midweek competitions continue as per normal as these are seen to be safe provided we follow our Covid Safe plan. There just can’t be any Zoned competitions at this point. I will keep you all posted. Thanks again for the support.
