23.01.2022 On Friday 30 October we acknowledged all our teachers and ESO for all the hard work they do at St Monica's. Student Voice made up some show bags to present to them as an appreciation.

22.01.2022 Please thank your students for bringing in bottles and succulent cuttings. We hope you enjoyed the 'green' in your classroom. This was one of the proposals to have 'more nature and plants' in the classroom. We will be delivering card and a potted succulent to our neighbours at lunch today.

21.01.2022 Year 6 Activities Week As with a lot of 2020, things havent quite been the same and unfortunately, the Year 6s could not go to Canberra for their Year 6 Camp experience. Instead, a week of activities in Adelaide including: St Kilda Mangrove Walk, St Kilda Playground, Base Camp Ninja Warrior course, Italian Cooking, AFL Max Sport and Leadership camp, Pizza afternoon and finally Book Week and Italian Day celebrations at school. It was a great team building and bonding week full of lots of activity.

21.01.2022 2020 Tournament of the Minds Winners Congratulations to St Monicas Tournament of Minds Team on winning the 2020 State award (Merit) in Social Sciences - a journey through the moral and ethical issues confronting society in the 21st Century. Tournament of Minds offers real world benefits as it looks beyond academic achievement and understands that the pursuit of excellence knows no boundaries. Special thanks to Sarah Morris who supported the Team in this pursuit!

19.01.2022 Our year 6s celebrated the end of their Healthy Eating Health Unit with some pizza making. Making the bases from nothing but SR flour and Greek yoghurt, they were pleasantly surprised with the taste!

03.01.2022 Remembrance Day Service This morning Senior students, Lauren, Scarlett D, Samuel, and Scarlett R represented St Monica’s Parish School at the Walkerville Remembrance Day Service.

02.01.2022 Students had a fabulous day today celebrating both Bookweek & Italian Day. The day started with a parade followed by bookweek activities then some yummy Gelati and the day finished with Italian activities.

01.01.2022 Netball Carnival On Monday all our Years 3 6 students attended the annual Catholic Schools Netball Carnival. This was a particularly special sporting carnival as it is the first one for 2020. Many thanks to the teachers and helpers who enabled our children to be well prepared and ready to play! The children had a fabulous time, played skillfully and were great sports!
