18.01.2022 Please read the following Media release We are aware of reports in the media in relation to a confirmed Covid-19 case involving a local rugby league team. A statement about a player having been confirmed with Covid-19 is factually incorrect.... The young player has been in close contact with an adult who has had their first test result as confirmed. At this stage all players and participants involved in games that this young player was involved in over the weekend have been asked to self isolate. The adult with the confirmed case is now awaiting his secondary test result and as yet has shown no symptoms. We are now awaiting further instructions from NSW health. Until we have further results and confirmation we are asking those that have been advised by their local club Covid-19 safety officer that they may have come in contact with the young player during matches this weekend to self isolate at home and await further instructions when they come to hand from NSW health. I ask all clubs and members to remain calm and vigilant. We will keep everyone posted as more information is provided from health authority’s. Nathan Waugh Chairman - Cronulla JRL
