The good news is, it's Friday... you have survived another week. Pictured here is Luke Treptow (Class of 2005) with his 3 children Jonathan, Heidi and Will. We wish Stacey strength, wisdom and the fortitude to keep going with her important work, and thank her for her service to us all.

04.01.2022 In a year that has not looked like any other we have experienced, let's flashback to 2018, when we were allowed to travel and a keen group of students and staff embarked on the school's first Japanese STEM tour... Let's hope the current students get to experience the rich international experiences we all had. Did you go on an International school tour? Tell us your favourite memory below!

03.01.2022 Beau Miles (Class of 1997) recorded this message for our Year 8s last week... but maybe we can all benefit from having a listen!

02.01.2022 Looking for a podcast for the weekend? We recommend The Dane Roy Story! Dane graduated from St Paul's in 2006. What happened next is an extraordinary sporting story! At 26 years old, Dane Roy was working at Peter’s Ice Cream in Melbourne, Australia, when he stumbled upon the opportunity to participate in a longest kick contest, ending in a final showdown at the 2015 Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final. Of course, Roy won the final contest with an 81-yard (73-meter...s) punt that would ultimately change his life. As part of his prize, he earned a chance to work with renowned punting coach Nathan Chapman of Prokick Australia, and when Tom Herman - then head coach at the University of Houston - came calling for a punter, Chapman didn’t hesitate to recommend the booming boot of Dane Roy. This is the Dane Roy Story. LISTEN HERE: https://lnns.co/ABwXteV1CoK https://youtu.be/TbqO_0kiOq0

01.01.2022 The St Paul's Academy of Music musicians have continued to meet every week throughout Term 3 for remote rehearsals. The students have been attending scheduled remote rehearsal meetings in their sectional groups of strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, voices and piano duet, both with students from their campus and collectively on a cross-campus basis. A large ensemble focus in Terms 1 and 2 saw Academy musicians working in a combined orchestral and choral setting across t...he School; while a small ensemble focus for Terms 3 and 4 is currently seeing students preparing their parts for chamber projects within their orchestral, vocal and keyboard sections. Earlier this year, the students were lucky to experience their first Sitzprobe before the pandemic restrictions a full orchestral and choral rehearsal with students from both the Warragul and Traralgon Campuses. The St Paul’s Academy of Music is open to students by audition and offers a dedicated focus through timetabled classes for the development of students’ chamber and orchestral skills. With professionally delivered instrumental and vocal workshops in addition to combined, cross-campus orchestral and choral rehearsals, Academy students will have opportunities to perform at a range of venues. A point of pride for us... The coordinator of The St Paul’s Academy of Music is alumnus, Ben Sim!

01.01.2022 Congratulations to St Paul’s Alumna (Class of 2011) Jacqui Vogt who last week was drafted into the AFLW to play with St Kilda. After finishing at St Paul’s Jacqui played soccer for Melbourne Victory and also attended the Under 20 National Team Camps at the Australian Institute of Sport. Jacqui has been kind enough to volunteer to visit St Paul’s early next year to speak about her journey in sport. The transferring of skills from one sport to another and her persistence will be a great story for the school's current students in the Elite Sport's Performers Program. Congratulations Jacqui!
