09.01.2022 Today we celebrate the Feast of St Peter Claver the namesake for our College and a Jesuit priest born in 1581 and ordained in 1616. He spent his life ministering to and helping the men, women and children who were taken from their homeland in Africa and brought to Cartagena, Columbia, to be sold into slavery. St Peter Claver acted with concern and love and he is a great example of someone working for justice. In his words, he described his work as, "We must speak to them with our hands by giving before we try to speak to them with our lips.

07.01.2022 What’s one thing you would give up for 40 days to make the world a better place? Jesus brought the promise of hope to all people so that we may Have life and have it to the full. (John 10:10). This Lent may we aspire not to have more but to be more in our own lives, and in the lives of others.

05.01.2022 Were acknowledging National Child Protection Week with an insight into the Love Bites program a respectful relationship education program run over nine weeks by our College Guidance Counsellors for 40 of our Year 11 students. It aims to equip students with the knowledge needed to have respectful relationships, as well as the tools to make the right choices for themselves and their relationships in the future. Its fantastic to see how engaged the students are in the prog...ram, and how much theyve taken away from the experience and grown as a result of it. Heres what some of them had to say This year is the second time the College has run Love Bites and due to popular demand, another class will be available to Year 11 students in Term 4. 04.01.2022 Yesterday our Year 11 Certificate II in Health Support Services students had an incursion with the very informative Leanne from Inclusive Health and Wellness Hub. Their mobile health vans are just one of the ways they are working to overcome health inequality experienced by some disadvantaged and marginalised populations. It was both eye-opening and informative for students to learn that such services exist and that there are even more career pathways available to them in the health field than they originally realised.
