Finally they swapped maps with each other and had to follow the directions given by their peer to find the treasure.

15.01.2022 The key concepts, skills and understanding the Year 3/4 class have been focusing on in HASS this past fortnight, are what people need for survival. Students have been asked to think about human needs and how they are sourced. Food has been examined more closely and information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples bush medicines has been read and reflected upon. Students have paired up with another student and have been guided in their own research task to create a brochure to share their new knowledge with other members of our school.
15.01.2022 Our Prep Open Morning began full steam ahead, jumping straight into a range of free choice, play based activities. Outside, students and Pre-Preps had opportunities to engage in creative and educational experiences such as painting, reading, letter formation drawing and block building. The most popular experience of the day was most definitely the wide range of messy, sensory play opportunities. Students absolutely loved getting their hands on the slippery water beads, slimy ...and sticky rainbow spaghetti, grainy magic fairy dust and chilly, squishy and sparkly snow. Inside, students listened to Miss Jayo read the well-loved story, The Rainbow Fish. Afterwards, students let their creativity run wild as they created their very own glamorous rainbow fish with sparkly scales. Students and Pre-preps put their fine motor skills to the test as they created beautiful beaded necklaces and bracelets, and also investigated a range of interesting and unique natural materials under a magnifying glass on the light table. As always, the biggest hit within the classroom was the playdough table. Students were very busy playing and getting to know our Pre-Preps, before welcoming them into their games and play on the playground before lunch. We had such a lovely morning, getting to know our new friends and welcoming them into our school community. We hope that they had as lovely a time as we did. We cant wait to see them all at our transition days.
