25.01.2022 This term is moving along swiftly. * Working Bee this coming Saturday 29th Feb from 8am to 11.30am. * Hermit crabs have arrived and are very popular. They will be visiting the front end of the week where we know some children are really excited to see them. * This week we are also practicing the Whistle Game - stage 1 (Fire Drills) at kindergarten. 23.01.2022 While still maintaining social distancing and still restricting the number of visitors coming onto the premises at the kindergarten, we look forward this week to being entertained by Ems Entertainment. The name of the highly entertaining show is When I Grow Up - Tues 4th & Thurs 6th Aug.

21.01.2022 We hope everyone enjoyed the recent long weekend. Saw many families out and about, relaxing outdoors while maintaining social distancing. Perfect cool & crisp winter weather! The end of term 2 is coming fast, but between now and the end of term, we will be practicing the Whistle Game (Fire drills) and the Quiet Game (lockdown procedures). We are still not encouraging visitors onto the kindergarten premises due to COVID-19, so please look at our website for a Waiting List application, phone the kindergarten: 9452 2653 or email: [email protected] . Letters of offer for places in 2021 will be posted at the end of July to families who have submitted a Waiting List application and whose child is eligible to begin in 2021.

21.01.2022 Hello Everyone Thinking of the Forest Community after a difficult week without power. Most of the power I believe has now been restored in the area. The kindergartens power was restored late this morning. Please pack a freezer brick in your childs lunch. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

20.01.2022 St Stephens Belrose Kindergarten extends heartfelt wishes of good health and wellbeing to our wonderful families and community. 19.01.2022 Term 4 is coming to an end but the festivities continue. This week we have our Christmas Party lunches at the kindergarten for the children on Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th Dec. Christmas Party Lunch will be provided by the kindergarten. I believe we may also have a visit from the jolly fellow in his red suit. Following our Christmas Party lunch, the children will be entertained by the wonderful magician - Peter Wood and his Magic Show. On Sunday 15th December, St Stephens Belrose Kindergarten has been invited to sing at the Lionel Watts Carols. It is all happening!!!! Enjoy the rest of Sunday and we will see you during the week.

15.01.2022 Following up on our chickens, 6 were female and 5 were males. The 6 female chicks found homes with kindergarten families. The male chicks have gone back to the farm to become roosters. There is always great interest in experiences like this from the children and their families. Also, when at kindergarten, many opportunities are provisioned to develop fine motor skills. Vertical Surfaces are a great way to develop upper arm strength & fine motor skills. In the photos below, you can see children experimenting with masking tape, chalk & colouring in & thus creating a masterpiece!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

14.01.2022 It has certainly been cold and windy lately! Today at kindy, Ann read Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. The children enjoyed making wonderful leaf designs.

14.01.2022 Yay! 11 out of 11 eggs hatched. There was some speculation on what could be inside the eggs. Some children suggested snakes & frogs but most children indicated baby chicks and we are all enjoying them. If you would like two, please let Sharron or Ann know!

10.01.2022 Dear Families, To celebrate the last week of term 2 and to extend support to mental health during this challenging time, we will be inviting children to participate in a Pyjama/Onesie dress up day with a gold coin donation on Tuesday 30th June and Friday 3rd July. Money raised will be donated to Beyond Blue.

This is something we are very proud of and would like to share. We have limited spaces available in our 3 year old group for Thurs/Fri and also the 4 to 5 year old group - Wed/Thurs/Fri. 05.01.2022 St Stephens Belrose Kindergarten would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to our community friend and ex-parent, Rachael Jackson for the weekly bread donations she has collected from local supermarkets and distributed to us for families to take home. Many families have been doing it tough during this COVID-19 period and this kind and generous gesture brings some welcome relief.

01.01.2022 St Stephens Belrose Kindergarten send a warm thank you to all the families who have collected bottle caps for the Envision Hands prosthetic hands project throughout 2019. We note that Envision has paused further collection of caps for the time-being as they have been overwhelmed by the nation-wide response. Right now, their focus will be on processing the caps they have received. When cap collections resume, we will let our families know and resume our cap collection at kindy. Thank you all for your support.
