07.05.2022 We would like to thank everyone for their sincere condolences of my dear grandmothers recent passing. She will be missed, so much by all of us, as will her amazing outlook on love, life and everything in-between! We were so blessed to have her in our lives and are humbled by the idea that she now joins our beautiful grandfather, Alister in heaven, after only 3 years apart. I miss them both so much, and words cannot express how grateful I am for having them as such a big part ...of my, and by siblings lives. We love you so much Grandma and Papa! As many of you know, Grandma will be watching down on us, hoping we plan the funeral of the century for her, with so much love, care, and really - just everyone being at the same place at the same time (and only wishing she could attend to be with everyone)! And with that, we would love to invite all Grandma’s dearest friends and family, she treasured greatly, to attend the Celebration of SHIRLEY MARGARET JANE COLLINGS life! Shirley Margaret Jane Collings (Nee’ McIntosh) was a much loved Mother and mother-in-law of Cheryl and Raymond Boneham, and Peter and Alicia Collings. Cherished Grandmother of Samantha, Rachael, Michael, Taylor, Lili, Jet, Elizabeth, and Hannah. Adored Great Grandmother of Harvey. All friends and family are respectfully invited to attend Shirley’s CELEBRATION OF LIFE, which will take place on Tuesday, the 19th of October, 3:30pm. Ryan Community Centre, Morindo Drive, Kirwan. Followed by light refreshments at Toms Tavern. (186 Nathan St, Aitkenvale QLD 4814). Live streaming of the service will be available via: https://youtu.be/Lx520wtlbx8 We ask everyone to wear red to the service. Grandma’s favourite colour, as bright and happy as she was! Again we would like to thank everyone, and look forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday. Cheryl Boneham Peter Collings Rachael Whittick Taylor-Anne Collings Lili Mclellan Jet James

24.04.2022 The Fundraising Sub-committee got together for an afternoon tea on Sunday at the Griers residence.

25.03.2022 The next to be interviewed was Soj. Grace Vigar, our Worthy Guardian: "I joined the Order 12 months ago. As a newbie the more experienced members are always willing to help. It is good to sit down at the end of a meeting and chat, much like a family gathering. Coming from an Italian background, family is very important. Celebrating birthdays, Christmas, Easter, makes for large gatherings involving a beautiful banquet, good conversations, and plenty of laughter. I would encour...age people to join St James Shrine for the fellowship. My biggest passion in life is helping others. That comes primarily with my job as an accountant in helping my clients obtain the best tax outcome for them. I am also the President of the Joyful Foundation which we formed in honour of my client Joylene Donnellan. We continue her good work, helping disadvantaged children. No child should be discriminated because of financial restrictions. The charity has been operating for 7 years and assisted over 4000 students. I also have a passion for fast cars and drifting. I have developed this interest from my son, who has been involved in this industry for 3 years. Seeing my son's passion and skill on the track, has motivated me to give it a go. I am grateful my son was able to buy me an SS V8 Commodore Ute to practice in. With his support, and the encouragement of his mates I have been able to achieve my goal. Hopefully one day, I can encourage more females, regardless of age, to get on the track and have a go" See more
