19.01.2022 PART 5/5 Here we go again. Next round. We prepare for our 3rd IVF cycle of 2020. Again I had a very low dose drug that was meant to to be an egg recruiter. I was so hopeful. After all they say you can fall pregnant really quick after a miscarriage. I took the drugs, had the scans as normal. It was looking good, I had 4 follicles growing (that’s good for me who has a low AMH). I went in again a few days later and 3 of the follicles had basically disappeared. They weren’t goi...ng to mature and release an egg. But we still had 1 whopper. So we booked in to go and collect my 1 egg. The morning of the egg collection I had another scan. It looked like had already ovulated. The follicle was deflated and my specialist said I had likely already released the egg. (It’s odd as you take injections to stop ovulating) We now had a few options to make the most of the opportunity. 1. Go home and do the deed. If I had ovulated now was the time. But we know that doesn’t work for us 2. Go in and see if the egg is still there. If it is, they can collect it and try and create and embryo. 3. Try IUI. This is where they take the sperm spin it and wash it and insert it into your uterus just like and embryo transfer. This gives us the best chance of capturing the egg that’s likely travelling down my fallopian tubes. So we chose to go ahead and try and collect it. I went under and woke up to no eggs collected. I was disappointed but I knew we still had an opportunity with IUI. So I wait a while and go to the building next door to have the IUI. The good news was Mark has super sperm they want between 5mil and 20million sperm for an IUI, Mark had 30mil. They wash the sample, spin it and keep all the good sleep leftover. 30mil? Why can I have 30mil eggs Now for the #TWW. About 5 days later, I start spotting. I was hopeful as I had been extremely fatigued for 4 days. I couldn’t get off the couch so I was like this must be implantation bleeding. But it got heavier and heavier. I had my bloods done a day early to see what was going on. It was negative. This was last Friday I share this after watching @mum_documentry on @stanaustralia last night..CONT IN COMMENTS
