20.01.2022 Meet Dr. Rachel Taylor is a Sport and Exercise Physician here at The Stadium Clinic. Dr Taylor completed her training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise physicians.completing her undergraduate training in the UK graduating from the University of Bristol in 2006. She then spent the next five years working mainly in the fields of Orthopaedics and Emergency Medicine in both the UK and Australia. She is currently an assistant medical officer with Melbourn...e Storm NRL, provides match day medical coverage for NSW Waratahs, is the Men’s Tournament team doctor for the Sydney rugby 7s, a medical consultant for Sydney Grammar School and is the tournament medical director for the Sydney International Tennis, an event she has been involved with since 2013. Dr Taylor has worked with a variety of elite sporting teams. She spent three years working with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles providing medical coverage for their NSW Cup and U20s squads. She has worked with the GWS Giants AFL team during their inaugural 2012 season, Athletics Australia and the Young Mathilda’s Soccer Team. Rachel is also a medical provider for the NSW Institute of Sport. In addition, she has provided medical cover for events such as: FINA World Cup, Diamond League, GCC Para-Athletic Championships, Six Foot Track Endurance Race, Hurley Australian Open of Surfing and Youth Olympics. Rachel consults on all musculoskeletal injuries whether it be an acute injury or a chronic problem such as osteoarthritis or tendinopathy. 19.01.2022 Whooo it’s our 7th Birthday!! 7 years ago Dr Tom Cross & Dr Sharron Flahive took over the reins and relaunched The Stadium Clinic and what a 7 years it has been. 7 years of building a centre of excellence for all musculoskeletal, normal ageing or acute, chronic and overuse injuries. 7 years of changing lives & making ‘things’ possible again.... We’ve had a few hurdles along the way, having to relocate & Covid ( like everyone) to name a few however, this only making us stronger & ready for another 7 years Thank you to our team of Specialists & staff for riding this wave with us & your hard work @stadiumsportsphysio & @prpimaging for being a huge part of our journey everyday Finally our loyal patients past & present, thank you for choosing us to take care of you

15.01.2022 Meet Dr. Etienne Du Preez, Dr Du Preez is a Sport and Exercise Physician here at The Stadium Clinic. Dr Etienne Du Preez completed his medical studies at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He specialized in Sport and Exercise Medicine, achieving his Fellowship with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians in 2017. He was awarded the 2017 College Medal for outstanding performance in the Fellowship examinations. Etienne is the Club Medical Off...icer for the NSW Waratahs, he was Chief Medical Officer for Sydney Roosters NRL team 2019. He was the team Doctor for the Australian Water Polo teams during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, and the tournament medical director for the Sydney Sevens in 2017 Etienne has an interest in treating acute sporting injuries as well as more persistent musculoskeletal complaints, including arthritis and tendinopathies. Dr Flahive is the current Chief Medical Officer for the Wallaroos Rugby Union Team and completed her tenure as the Chief Medical Officer for the NSW Waratahs this year. Sharron is the longest serving member of the Waratahs staff looking after the team for 20years! This year Sharron was appointed to the International Rugby Players Associa...tion Board where she can pursue her interests in mental health and injury prevention. Patients of Sharron will note two features of her treatment. Firstly, that each patient is an individual that needs to be managed on an individual basis. Secondly, some patients do require further specialist investigation. It is the identification of the very best specialist medical talent for that patient's particular ailment in a timely manner that is critical.
