15.01.2022 *.* Christmas message from our President *.* Happy Christmas Eve Sainters, We have hit the final lap of 2020 and what a year it has been. ... This year has definitely been a challenging and unprecedented year for us all, including many of our players, families, members, supporters, sponsors and of course our Sports Club that have one way or another been affected by Covid-19. However, we should be very proud of how our teams, coaches, players, families and volunteers assisted throughout the pandemic and especially as we headed back into a Return to Training schedule. A highlight of our pre-season campaign was the discussions and resulting player driven values that emerged specifically from our Senior group. The players thoughts were very strong that the 3 values of , & were valued most in their football and personal lives. The senior and junior teams will use these values as yardsticks to base our standards, decisions, feedback, and performance on. This was a great indication of the mindset of the playing group and something that must be respected and nurtured to help maintain and build on St Albans great traditions of being a hardworking, proud, committed, family club. I would like to extend my thanks to all our members and sponsors who financially supported our club this year to ensure we ended in a positive way as we work towards next season. A few of our sponsors have recommitted for next year, a couple of new sponsors have jumped on board and success in grants will continue to assist our players be looked after which is always high on our priority list. I would like to thank and acknowledge all our Players, Coaches, staff and Committee members for their tireless efforts and their continued support they have given me throughout a season that never was. A richness of work was done by all and this is greatly appreciated as we move to planning for 2021. Our players asked and we delivered of course with the assistance from Brimbank Council and our league the WRFL, who supported and worked with us to achieve a sense of normality, so over the past five weeks we were able to have numerous players hitting the track and returning to training - both Seniors and Juniors. We can now look forward to full training resuming in early February. 2021 will be an exciting year mainly because of the enthusiasm and determination of our players and families and I am happy to announce the partnership with Dynamic Footy Skills (DFS) prior to our season kicking off in April with our juniors. So, on behalf of the St Albans Football Club Committee, I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Healthy and Happy Year. Enjoy the holidays with your families and friends and we look forward to welcoming you all back in February - keep a look out on our socials for updates and key dates as we prepare for season 2021! Merry Christmas everyone
