25.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that STAFFIES UNITED RESCUE announces we are closing our doors. Unfortunately circumstances beyond our control have forced us to make this devastating decision. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers for all their hard work and time that they put into making the rescue a success.... Thank you to all of you that have followed us, supported our FB posts, events and fundraising. To the individuals, vets and companies who donated money or discounted supplies and services, without you this venture would have been near impossible. Really appreciate each and every one of you and you can be proud to know that your support has enabled SUR to save hundreds of lives. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING

18.01.2022 SHARED FROM A FACEBOOK POST Hi all. Today I witnessed a very distraught young mum at a Vet surgery carrying out her 6 month old Golden Retriever pup who had just passed away. According to the vet nurse, the mum had let her pup out to toilet and went to check, only to find him with a mushroom / toadstool in his mouth. Taking no chances she rushed him to the vets (20 minutes away) but sadly it was too late. In Queensland and NSW we have had a lot of rain and high humidity of the past few days. These fungi can appear before your very eyes given the conditions. Please share amongst your groups just how toxic mushrooms can be. Not all fungi are toxic, but most of us can't tell the good ones from the bad ones.

11.01.2022 LOLLY IS LOOKIN FOR LOVE Lolly is a very quirky lovable natured girl, who also loves a good talk with you. She prefers to be close to you as much as possible and loves your attention, her ideal world is someone that is home often. Lolly is your typical Staffy and needs you to be consistent with her, so she learns the house rules. ... She has been responding well with treat rewarded commands when training. Lolly loves her clam shell pool for swimming and running round silly, helping you out in the garden, playing tug a war with ropes, will even chase a ball and bring back when in the mood. Likes going for a walk, we use a halty to control the pulling, things are getting better, she is eager to please. Loves hanging out in the sun, sits up in the chair like a human. Has the most loving adoring eyes and so much love to give. Has gotten on well with most other male dogs, can be selective with other females. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home as she wants all the love and attention. Not to kean on storms but working through methods to be able to deal with them better. Not sure about cats, never really met one. This girl just wants to be part of the family and share the love. GIVES THE BEST CUDDLES. 5 yrs old Vaccinated Desexed Microchipped Worming up to date Message Staffies United to meet this beautiful girl. She is well worth it
