23.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE JULY/AUG 2020 This week an older patient asked me why we werent wearing masks. My answer was that Queensland has no community spread at this time. If we were to go into a second wave like Melbourne or Sydney, then we would start wearing masks and also ask our patients to wear masks. So what are we doing? We are continuing with our enhanced hygiene procedures which includes asking each patient to wash or sanitise their hands on arriving and leaving. We are not... seeing any unwell patients and none of our staff have been unwell. We continue to wipe down surfaces on treatment beds, chair arms, exercise equipment and door handles. We ask that patients keep 1.5m apart. Thanks to all of you who have kept away when you had a sore throat or a runny nose, even though none of our patients have been tested positive at any time during this pandemic. Thanks to all of you who have come back to see us when you felt comfortable to do so. You can be assured that we are doing our best to keep all our patients and staff safe. We have a policy in place should Queensland numbers of new cases start to increase. We already have masks at the practice. We are keeping a close eye on the recommendations of the government, Qld Health and the Australian Physiotherapy Association. It is exhausting, so thanks also for the great conversation, the jokes, the recommendations for Netflix, books and restaurants! Thanks for the kind words and the support.

Classes have a maximum of 3 people, with 1 person in each space at any given time. Your Physio moves between the spaces assisting you and all equipment is cleaned in between users Keep an eye open for guest appearances by Ally, Megan and Sandra!

Ally is offering HOME VISITS for those who wish to stay at home. We have restructured our Physio Exercise Sessions so that each person exercises in a separate section with your Physio with our Pilates and other exercise equipment. 06.01.2022 We are still running Physio Exercise Sessions with Pilates Equipment (Reformers, Trapeze Table, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector) and other equipment (BOSU, Mobility Sticks, rollers, exercise band, physio Balls, chi balls, Makarlu pods, weights). Each person exercises in a SEPARATE AREA, the equipment is wiped down after EACH USE and we have a strict hand washing policy. The Physio comes into each section to assist and correct, supervise and answer questions. Your ...exercises can be progressed or regressed on the spot if needed. 04.01.2022 The Australian Minister for Health Greg Hunt has today confirmed that ALL allied Health businesses can continue working and are encouraged to do so. In addition he has indicated that they are now developing full Allied Health Telehealth options within the week for Allied Health along with all other health and medical services. This will be part of a staged plan. Face to face services for many remain vital and so where possible we encourage you to continue.... Thank you to all our patients for your support and best wishes. A big thank you to THE BEST TEAM EVER - keeping me sane. We are working on providing some Telehealth or ONLINE consultations and exercise classes SOON. We are still OPEN for treatment and our small Physio Exercise Sessions on the Pilates equipment. We have increased our hygiene procedures and are practising safe social distancing as required. Throughout this time, she has also studied Manual Lymphatic Drainage and completed an Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy in 2015. Jessica believes in a holistic client-centered approach to treatment and collaborating closely with the team at Stafford Physiotherapy and Pilates to optimise treatment outcomes.
