25.01.2022 A HUGE shout out to our much loved Charter member Steve Howard on his 30 years in Toastmasters. Steve exemplifies the values of Toastmasters, is always encouraging and is an accomplished, gifted speaker. He is a wonderful addition to any club he belongs to. He cant make the D70 awards function so its great Nick was able to socially distance style present the plaque last week. Steve Howard Well done.

25.01.2022 Do you enjoy watching world-class presentations? Do you enjoy analyzing speeches to determine what makes them work so well? Then you will love Stage Time! Toastmasters. Unfortunately, Stage Time!s planned return to face-to-face meetings on 1 August has been cancelled by Bankstown Sports Club due to that clubs return to more severe Covid-19 restrictions.Therefore, the meeting on Saturday 1 August will once again be a Zoom meeting.... A highlight will be helping a member build a speech from scratch. A speaker will present a speech idea they have, based on a past experience. Well workshop what would be the strongest message of the story, explore speech structure and other things that would work well for that story. You can: Wear clothing found in an Op Shop might be vintage clothes, a uniform, a sparkling ballgown, a wetsuit, fancy dress or Christmas outfit ... surprise us with what you find! a n d . Bring a prop found a...t an op shop prop may or may not match your outfit, but could be a crazy lamp, rug, chair or ornament, a musical instrument, sports equipment, large stuffed toy or unusual Christmas decorations, etc. surprise us! 19.01.2022 Congratulations Nitay on winning Central Division International speech contest ! He joins Maria Pedavoli who is representing Phillip division in the district final on 16th May. Tomorrow Ruth will compete in the Lachlan division and Lou in the southern division. Go Stage Time!

12.01.2022 Stage Time ran a fun meeting on Sat 7 November, hosted by the Letter "E". There were 3 extended speeches, each of them evaluated in depth, a fun warm-up exercise, our special 2-minute speeches and plenty of other odds and ends. Our VPE and movie director, Lou Beaton, captured segments of the meeting on camera and posted this neat reminder of how much fun we had, put to music.

05.01.2022 Unfortunately, Stage Time!s planned return to face-to-face meetings on 1 August has been rescinded by Bankstown Sports Club due to a return to more severe lockdown restrictions imposed by the NSW Government. At its Changeover meeting on Saturday 4 July, Stage Time! members voted in favour of reinstating its previously disbanded Wednesday night meetings - but with a difference. * Wednesday night meetings will be conducted online via Zoom, which means that members can continue to develop their online skills and also that past members and visitors can attend from around the world.... * Saturday meetings - first Saturday of each month - will return to face-to-face as soon as allowed (most likely 1 August).
