22.01.2022 Our Biggenden Saleyards rebuilding program is officially underway with stage one commencing today. Stage one sees the demolition of the lower part of the yards ... holding pens and larger cable yards and the construction of two drafting facilities, a new dip, a new double deck loading ramp, new holding pens and the first section of new selling pens. While this is happening we are still all systems go at the yards and have strategically planned how we will continue operating fortnightly cattle sales around the construction. We want to bring our clients along for the journey and ensure you know the construction phase will not negatively impact our sales. Once the program is completed we will have a completely rebuilt selling centre that is current with all animal welfare, animal behaviour and safety requirements and processes. The program also aims to employ locals for the construction work and engage local contractors where we can. This has been years in the making for us and we are very excited to finally be underway.
