We use hospital grade disinfectants for cleaning, and are ensuring a minimum of 3 days between each booking. 08.01.2022 Who wants to win a 2 night, 2 person stay at the recently renovated St Albans Courthouse, in the gorgeous beautiful Forgotten Valley (value $350)? Write name below, 'share' and 'like' the St Albans Courthouse and Homestead FB page to enter!!! The building is the historic courthouse, built in the 1890s by convict settlers. It has now been converted into completely self-contained, fabulously comfortable accommodation. And thanks to Covid-19, all the old carpets have been remov...ed, floorboards polished, and painted inside and out! The old holding cells (jail cells) have been converted into bathrooms (with underfloor heating something we are sure the old visitors to the cells would have appreciated), and the old exercise yard, kept in its original these housing a foosball table, and dart board (not to mention a wood burner for those chilly nights). There are fires located throughout the building creating a really snug, warm and cosy environment the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the valley. And, newly installed air conditioning is available in the formal living and dining rooms. The Courthouse contains a fully equipped country kitchen, with new 90cm oven for the chefs at heart, plus a gas BBQ undercover outside. St. Albans is a truly majestic location. For the more adventurous guests there are fantastic bush walks, river swimming, kayaking, and bike rides. For those that are looking for a more relaxed visit, why not take a gentle country stroll followed by a long, lazy lunch at the Settlers Inn (the only pub in town!). Kate and Rob are generally on site and able to help you find a bush walk that suits your group. Did we mention the pool!? Its awesome.
