19.01.2022 Remembrance Day Following their class liturgy today, Year 2 were given the option of stopping for a minutes silence at 11am. So proud of our students who stopped in the middle of their recess and stood silently and respectfully. The poppies planted outside their classrooms look great too. Well done Year 2!

13.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be!

12.01.2022 Our students had a fantastic time with visiting illustrator and author Dub Leffler. Dub is a descendent from the Bigambul people of South-West Queensland and is one of Australia’s most sought-after illustrators of children’s literature. As well as an illustrator, Dub is the author of two children’s books and is currently illustrating his 25th title. We got to hear about what inspires him with his art and writing. And we also learnt some drawing techniques as well. Dub was very impressed with the inquisitive and enthusiastic attitudes of our students. We were also fortunate enough to have Dub sign the copies of his books that we have in our library.

12.01.2022 Secret September Spring Surprise! No Camp? No Worries! This week Year 6 took 3 days out of their very busy term to celebrate being the leaders of the school and facing all the challenges of 2020 with resilience and a positive attitude! With camps and excursions out of the question the teachers worked hard to create 3 days of fun for the students. Year 6 have been studying the properties of fabrics in science. This culminated in the creation of some tie-dye T-shirts, with stud...ents banding and dying cotton t-shirts to create some awesome designs. Students have loved reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, so with the beautiful sunny weather the students participated in the House Cup, with Gryffindor being the ultimate champions winning both the Newcome ball and Basketball tag championships. Hufflepuff came in a close second with Ravenclaw and Slytherin rounding out the places. Students also loved creating their own Wands; gluing and painting chopsticks to create designs unique and beautiful. They used these in the last day of festivities, dressing up as their favourite Harry Potter characters. It was a great way to end the term. See more

05.01.2022 Due to an overnight storm we have sustained significant water damage to the Administration Block. It is currently being cleaned and dried. A sincere thanks to those parents who were able to keep their children at home today. The school office will temporarily be operating out of the Kinder room (Block D) closest to the Administration block. Access is through the main gate to the sliding door in the Kindergarten playground. Please be reminded that there is no parent access to ...any other parts of the school. If your child is late to school or needs to leave early please accompany them to the temporary office to be signed in or out by the office staff. Phone lines are now operating as normal. We would be most appreciative of your patience and understanding during this time as the office staff work in very different conditions and circumstances. See more
