The distinctive interior also features twin glass elevators which our guests take to and from their suites during their stay. 18.01.2022 How magnificent is this place! It’s so peaceful and grand. We highly recommend taking a stroll to the Shrine Of Remembrance when in Melbourne. Inspired by classical architecture, the Shrine was designed and built by veterans of the First World War. Beneath the inner sanctum a labyrinth of galleries unfolds, featuring over 800 artworks & historical artefacts. Shrine tours are available daily from the Visitors Centre at 11 am & 12:45 pm.

We have been fortunate to be able to support the federal government public health and safety initiative through housing repatriation guests, something we are very proud of. This also gave us a fantastic opportunity to provide for our dear staff members, suppliers and keep creating memorable experiences for our guests. During this time, our team at Stamford Plaza Melbourne have be...en keeping busy. We served over 5500 meals and accommodated over 3500 special dietary requirements. We also supported our local food suppliers as we purchased over 10000 kg of seasonal fruit and vegetables, 5000 kg of fresh meat and poultry, over 25000 eggs as well as other local produce. It highlights the core of what our business is about, being able to connect with people in different ways. Many thanks for your kind consideration and support during this time. Sky Castle is a dreamy, interactive sound and light installation, featuring a cluster of inflatable arches that span in colourful symphony across Fed Square. 01.01.2022 **Statement relating to Stamford Plaza Melbourne and response to the recent Covid-19 outbreak** Melbourne, 24 June 2020 - Stamford Plaza Melbourne (SPM) had been, at the request of the Department of Health and Human Services (the Department) of the State of Victoria, Australia, proudly supporting the Department to accommodate returning Australian citizens. We believe this to be a valuable contribution to the State and Australia. On or about 13 June 2020, a security contra...ctor, employed through the Victorian Government Contract, tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. This security personnel was not under the employ of SPM or its related companies. Following the positive test of the security personnel, the Department had proceeded to test all staff of SPM and imposed precautionary measures on SPM. In line with standards set by the State, a deep clean of SPM has been undertaken. Contrary to media reports, SPM did not breach any social distancing guidelines. We are pleased to confirm that no staff of SPM have tested positive for COVID-19. The negative test results validates our employee training, PPE practice and Health and Safety approach. SPM takes the safety and health of all its guest and staff very seriously. It maintains high standards of hygiene, and practices social distancing in accordance with the federal and state guidelines. We continue to work closely with the Department to ensure that our guest and our staff continue to remain safe, including any additional measures required by the Department.
