10.01.2022 CONVINCE someone to become a customer and you'll have sales for a day... CONVERT someone to become a customer and you'll have a customer for life. There's a BIG... problem I see right now spread right through the digital marketing industry and it's this... Every brand owner, dropshipper and direct response marketer is pushing the same kind of message... "HERE'S MY STUFF COME BUY IT, IT'S ON SALE" ...Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for a good direct response ad pushing a sale... But the major issue with that is you're only appealing to a minor % of your audience AND you establish no credibility for someone to VALUE your product / brand. By CONVERTING your customer, your not just pushing your product / offer down their throat... You're changing their belief systems. You're helping them discover for the first time that they not only want but NEED what you have to offer. You highlight all of the problems it solves and benefits it can bring that are unique only to your product When done right, you'll have helped someone realize they have a problem in their life that needs solving And only YOU/YOUR brand possess the solution for them. Put it this way... ------- If you go to a doctor for a regular checkup Then just by looking at you they tell you that you're sick and start to list all the issues / symptoms you might be feeling... Then you become aware that those symptoms are all true... Then the doctor says they have the EXACT way to make it all go away... You're going to take that doctor's advice and go and order whatever he's prescribed to you, aren't you? You're not going to leave WITHOUT some kind of a remedy to your new found problem... (That'd be dumb) AND if you know that this problem is something you're going to need again and again... Then you're far more likely to come back and re-order again and again... aren't you? Because the person who highlighted your issue in the first place, gave you the appropriate solution. ------- So how does this apply to you? Well, if you want to keep focusing on day 1 sales only and then scratch your head wondering why your repeat purchase rate sucks... Keep running discount, one day only, direct response pushy ads that only has a value proposition of a cheap price. OR If you'd rather have loyal, converted, repeat purchasing, raving fans of your product(s) / Service(s) that stay with you for years to come (which is 100% necessary as the cost of advertising keeps going up) Then start showing people the problems they have that they might not be aware about, become the doctor to their problem and solve it with your product in one ad. SOME WAYS TO DO THIS: Advertorials (Heavily Underrated & Can Convert SUPER Well) Buzzfeed/NowThis Style, Long form Videos Long Form Traditional Sales Pages Structured/Scripted Influencer/Expert Videos VSL Videos Quiz -> Advertorial -> Sales Page Long Form Videos that goes direct to checkout (so when they click to watch the video the only logical next step is to scroll down and complete their order) Changing the ad copy in your current ads to be more educational + solution oriented By changing up your messaging, not only will you create more loyal customers... You enter into markets your competitors AREN'T in AND There's a much larger market of people who aren't yet aware of the problems you can help them solve. The choice is yours ...But I know where I'd rather be spending my marketing dollars
