25.01.2022 Good sized hail has just fallen at Standown Park. Fortunately for only a short time but no doubt will have caused some damage.

25.01.2022 At last they have arrived! The Standown bright coffee mugs. The colours are amazing, but we only have a limited number. Just $10.

25.01.2022 Ladies only Night. What a wonderful group of women. We had a lovely meal at Cooloola Berries and Zoe did a fabulous job of entertaining us. Thanks also to the men who drove us there and picked us up.

24.01.2022 I just realised I hadn’t shared our Christmas dinner celebrations here. This was also a fun time where b all in the Park and some extras came together on Christmas evening to share some fellowship.

23.01.2022 This was a pleasant surprise recently when we had a great entertainer Chris turn up to stay, the same day we had the Military Brotherhood Motorcycle Club members. Chris has played for the Veterans Motorcycle club before so was happy to show off his talents.

22.01.2022 The Partners of Veterans gathered for a morning tea and chat at Standown Park on Monday. It was so refreshing to be able to get out and meet up with old and new friends.

21.01.2022 On Veterans Day we had a beautiful White Dove Release Ceremony in remembrance of fellow Veteran and dear friend Clarence Ormsby who passed away in March this year. His beautiful wife, Janet release one dove for Clarence. Their friend Gwennie released one for all Clarences friends, Prue released one for their family and Rod released the fourth one for Clarences Veteran mates. Once released the doves circled the dam then came to rest high in the pine tree above the memorial.

17.01.2022 Some of the 10th Intakers standing for the National Anthem before the football finals at Standown.

15.01.2022 How’s this for a flag pole? It comes with the moon balancing on top.

14.01.2022 Merry Christmas Everyone from all of us here at Standown Park

14.01.2022 Veterans Day 2020 was very different to past years with numbers limited, the marchers single file and spaced out. Everyone was very conscious of social distancing and hand sanitizing. Small groups congregated around the fire boxes along the road while we listened to the great Graeme Jensen. Prue and Zoe and the Kiwi cook, Keith Abernethy cooked the most delicious meal. It was a very moving day where as well as remembering our Veterans, we also remembered our dear friends in Victoria and NSW who could not be with us because of COVID.

12.01.2022 Happy New Year to all. What a fabulous night of fun. It was so good to have great entertainment by Graeme Jensen and a really fun crowd. We missed some of our friends who could not make it over the boarders. Here’s to an amazing 2021 for all.

12.01.2022 Excited times mounting here in preparation of Veterans Day.

09.01.2022 The sunset tonight is just beautiful after 120 mls of rain last night.

08.01.2022 What a difference 20mls of rain makes to our little piece of paradise. Apart from everything looking greener we have this beautiful sunset.

08.01.2022 I love this place. There are so many special sights to take in.

04.01.2022 A couple of new additions to Standown Park is Flash Lightning and one of the many families of ducklings.

03.01.2022 We had it all for Melbourne Cup Day at Standown Park today. The Grand Champion Horse, three races, sweeps, champagne lunch, great prizes and entertainment. It was a great day. Thanks to all who helped make it great.
