11.05.2022 Are you a lover of Bach and organ music? Come along to another great organ concert on 22 May, 2:30pm at St Andrews Brighton. Johann Sebastian Bach’s Clavier-Übung III, or Third Part of Keyboard Practice, is a major organ work which was written in the later part of his career. Published in 1739, it is a collection of twenty-seven pieces which is intricately wrought around the structure of Luther’s Greater and Lesser Catechisms. As such, it deals with various aspects of the Christian life including forgiveness, praise, baptism, and redemption. It is a musical and spiritual feast for both performer and listener, and may be considered to be Bach’s greatest extended organ work. For ticketing and enquiries please contact the office, 9592 1240.

23.01.2022 Media release from the Anglican Primate at 4pm today: "The Anglican Church’s highest legal authority, the Appellate Tribunal, today released a 5-1 majority opinion that a service of blessing for civil marriages authorised by the Synod of the Diocese of Wangaratta last year is valid. The service encompasses all marriages authorised under the Marriage Act 1961 including those between same-sex couples". Such wonderful and courageous leadership from Wangaratta and Newcastle Dioce...ses to stand their ground and hold firm. Sadly, this doesn’t extend to Melbourne.

01.01.2022 Introducing our 2020 DUX of School: Jaikob Akinci! Jaikob achieved a perfect ATAR score of 99.95, one of only 38 students to do so in Victoria. At BGS since Pr...ep, Jaikob has involved himself in all aspects of school life including sport, music and service, and became a Prefect and School Vice-Captain this year. I sat at my computer in the morning refreshing the page every second, and when I finally clicked through to the ATAR it happened so suddenly that I took a few moments to take it all in! My parents and brothers were so happy and I'm really grateful for all that they did for me throughout this year. Well done Jaikob! #MakeitCount #VCE #Classof2020 #VCEresults #MelioraSequamur
