24.01.2022 Our Kindergarten Orientation has come to an end. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our 2021 Kindergarten students over the past few weeks and cannot wait for them to start school next year. If you are a parent of a 2021 Kindergarten student and haven't signed up to Seesaw, please do so as soon as you can as we will use this to continue communicating with families. We have had many parents ask about Kindergarten's start date- they will begin school on the 4th February. More information about Best Start times will be communicated shortly. Please don't forget to look at the website this week for information on oral language, literacy and numeracy skills, as well as a digital copy of our social story. https://sites.google.com/educat/st-andrews-kinder-2021/home

12.01.2022 Willy Wag Tail Dance Students loved learning the Willy Wagtail Dance with Katrina Ingram-Watkins. Students learned how to dance and represent animals through their body movements.
11.01.2022 This term, KH had their art show where they showcased their stained glass windows. To create their artworks, students started off by looking at different stained glass window designs from all around the world and planned their art work using paper and permanent markers. Once they had finished their plan they then started on their final product using coloured cellophane and clear contact. This artwork ties in with Kindergarten’s learning of phonics with double letters and digraphs, ‘ss,’ ‘ai,’ and ‘ow.’ They are each incredibly proud of their artworks.

01.01.2022 Dear parents We want to offer families more flexibility with their work commitments and child care arrangements and to create more opportunities across the whole community. Having Out of School Hours Care available at local schools is a great way to achieve this. As part of the NSW Government’s $120 million Before and After School Care (BASC) commitment, parents at all NSW schools were recently invited to complete a Have Your Say survey. The survey asked parents to tell us ho...w they are using Out of School Hours Care, how much it costs them, whether they plan to keep using it, and what difficulties they experience in accessing it. The survey results have helped us to better understand the needs of families and what’s important to them. We are now asking all parents to complete a quick follow-up survey by Friday 27 November 2020. You can access the survey at https://surveys.education.nsw.gov.au/s3/OSHCParentSurvey. This information will help us to target the rollout of more before Out of School Hours Care services in the right areas If your child does not require Out of School Hours care, we ask that you please still complete the first section of this survey as it gives us important information about the level of demand at your school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the BASC Program team by phone on 1300 244 145 or email at: [email protected] We are really trying to get a before and after school facility on our school site. I encourage each of our families to respond to the survey. Thank you Mr Batty
