24.01.2022 Some great news from yesterday’s team that competed at the Nambour Transition Meet at Nambour. Everyone swam superbly with some of the highlights below. Hamish smashed out a 3 second PB in his 50 Breaststroke, Cody put together a massive 50 freestyle dominating his race, Olivia stormed home with a 3 second PB in the 50 freestyle. Harley’s nerves did not get the better of her 50 Butterfly and dove in attacking an awesome race. Big PBs for Brittney’s 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Charli needed an extra carry bag to drag her collection of medals home. Congratulations to Harley, Ahlea and Hailey for their first competitive swim meet all doing very well. Really great to see a strong team atmosphere with plenty of support. Go St Andrew’s Swim Club.

For most of our juniors this was an opportunity to taste competition for the first time at a championship level and our senior teams put up some powerful competition in their heats. 18.01.2022 Performance Squad is on fire Swimming Queensland’s 2020 Medal Shots LC Preparation Meet did not disappoint with some superb performances from our team. Erin opened the meet with an impressive 29.0sec 50 freestyle that blew away the competition. Sienna followed breaking a two year PB with a drop of 1.82sec off her 200 freestyle. Darcy’s dedication to training paid off with a 4.75 second PB in her 200 freestyle. Day 2 saw Tahlia and Sienna seeded next to each other both breaking the 60 second barrier in the 100 freestyle. The day was taken again by Darcy decimating the 100 fly with a 3.08 second PB. With 16 top ten finishes and 24 personal bests this can just get better with QLD Champs now only 4 weeks out.
