22.01.2022 Come! Have you ever been in a desperate situation and simply cried out in pain? That's the cry we here from this ancient verse. And it's the cry which emanates today from so many - hunger, disease, war, oppression. We cry out to God - Come!... As we come together as a community tomorrow - we reflect on how God comes, and how we can come. For the sake of the world. So, we invite you to Come. And we invite our God to Come. 10am (rain is forecast, which means we'll be in the hall instead of under the oak). Or join us via Zoom on this link: Time: Nov 29, 2020, from 9:45am Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85999517295 Meeting ID: 859 9951 7295 Passcode: 053516
22.01.2022 To be remembered. On birthdays. At Christmas. On any day. We remember people. Because people matter. We matter. The thief on the cross says to Jesus, "remember me". In Isaiah it says, "I have engraved you on the palms of my hands" (49:16).... Let's remember. See more
22.01.2022 St Andrews Opshop will hold a $5 FILL A BAG (woolies/coles size bags) with clothing items next Monday 30th November from 9am-4pm. As long as stock available. 21.01.2022 A child of promise. Born of a woman, yet conceived from on high. Fully humanity, yet fully divinity. Heaven to earth, earth to heaven. Time and eternity intersecting.... One like no other. See more
21.01.2022 There are two sides to this. Humans are seeking by nature. Happiness. Fulfilment. Love. Acceptance. We hunt here and there, for they are elusive, and just when we find them they slip through our fingers. Seeking God is part of our nature, too. To know why we are here, to make sense of it all. To seek after truth It's a most worthy endeavour.... The other side is that God seeks for us. The lost sheep, the prodigal son, the misfit. The ones least likely. And when the two seekers meet, there is rejoicing!
20.01.2022 Friday morning bread distribution... You're welcome! Plus op shop open today.
18.01.2022 We want to make a difference. This Advent/Christmas season we're supporting this project through Tearfund's Useful Gifts. Learn more on Sunday. Too many people go hungry in our world. We can all make a difference.... "The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little, did not have too little" (2 Corinthians 8:15). See more
17.01.2022 First time inside this week - owing to the weather. Still had a good time! Great to see everyone, and start spending time gathered in person. How often do we cry - Come Lord - do something! From Isaiah 64.
13.01.2022 Our little friend. Overseeing the veggie patch this morning.
06.01.2022 Life can be confusing. Sometimes there are many ways and choices open to us. Other times we may feel locked in by the choices we've made in the past. This verse speaks of the paths of life. There is a path for us, a way through, a way out, a journey to life. Let's walk it. Together.
05.01.2022 From today's passage. Beautifully made.
04.01.2022 Entering the story, leading up to Christmas - the Advent calendar - everyday a little more is peeled back. Angels don't make their appearance often (at least to our eyes), but when they do, you can be sure something special is brewing.
03.01.2022 Good to know. And remember!
03.01.2022 As Australia Day approaches, it is good to reflect on our nation. What does it mean to be Aussie? What are those values that might foster cooperation and what care? What is special about Australia for you? What can we improve? True Blue is an iconic Aussie song, this version as a moving Steve Irwin tribute from quite a few years ago. It expresses the idea of mate-ship and sticking together, a practical no beating around the bush mentality, the importance of family. ... Is this still us? How are we changing? See more
01.01.2022 Plus a little from our music team today!
